Before the sky begins to fall on this board, I'd like to remind you all that it is okay to lose regular season games.

Remember the days of Billy G and Tubby before you bash our players and coaches.

I'm pissed too but a December loss means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Some sanity on this board of sensationalists. Bad performance. Not a bad loss. Like, 30 games left to get better.

Yeah, the chicken littles are definitely out tonight. This is the first true road game for a young team. One of our vet big men was out, our PG was playing hurt, and UCLA played better than they have played in years. Our talent is there; this loss may help refine it.

Chicken littles. What I hate is games like this bring out the instigators and haters that are not the true fans they claim.

This is our second loss in 2015. No other team in the country can say that.

Hope this puts a chip on this teams shoulders Go Cats

It was the first true road game. However, that is not excuse for the lack of effort and how we played.

It just hurts to lose, even though you always know you wont win them all. Make this loss count and go forward

Some nights the opponent plays over their head and you get beat. Especially on their home court. Our poor shooting kept us from overcoming that ten to twelve point lead. We never could get over the hump.

We have a very tough road game schedule this year and this team will be up against it at each of these games.

Agree with the OP - DOESN'T MATTER.
Now everybody try to avoid hijacking his thread by adding your unrelated grievances.

It's not the fact that we lost. It's the way we lost. We were outplayed in every facet of the game. Outside of Tyler, Briscoe and Willis we had no fight in us at all. They half-assed it tonight, and got embarrassed as a result.

I think it's a really good loss , we looked fat mentally . You can't just show up , they still have to play .

Don't you know that UK is the one college team that is granted no grace to lose? Sure they are young but they are expected to be perfect and in end of the season form at the first preseason exhibition game.

Young team, first big time road environment, Lee/Ulis either injured or playing while injured... never like losing but there are losses in early April and then there are losses in early December. If this team figures it out this season will be fantastic and we will all forget about UCLA. If this team doesn't figure it out this will simply be the first in a series of deflating losses and we won't have to focus on it.

I'm glad I decided not to check in on this board last night, I think I would have had a different sort of meltdown reading the nonsense I'm sure was spewed on here.

No, we have to go 40-0 every year. Anything less is a substantial failure lol

I do understand the frustration though by some. Its not that we lost but how we lost, Skal being a complete non factor for one.
