Makes me a little Verklempt when I see it!
On second view, Smoke was untouched like Brown. He went to lead block through the same hole Brown took but the blocking was so good there was no one for him to block.
I got the joke and remember the skit, grandpa. Better get your candygram / land shark jokes ready for Ole Miss!
Brown is clearly a yd deep in the endzone; why is it so hard to put it as it is 101 yd kickoff return for TD?
I agree...it was #23 that spring the initial block to get Brown to the other side of the field....then it was all speed from there on out.
False, watch closely, he still had control of the tip when the ball crossed the plan. BOSS
Man, I don't know it's really really close. I watched the replays as well. I honestly think they didn't have enough evidence either way, so they left it as called on the field, thank goodness. It appeared to me, that the ball had seperated from his forearm but was still in his palm as he was crossing the endzone. Depending on perception, you could say say at that point he was in the process of dropping it which means he doesn't have control.

That's one of my biggest football pet peeves. You just made a huge play and decide to drop the ball dangerously close to the goal line. If I were coach I would tell them you better hold onto that ball until you can physically hand it to a ref that called touchdown. Hell if it were me, I'd make the ref have to take it from me. 😆
