If Alabama were to lose to SC on the road by 2 points, then go 6-0 with 3 top 25 wins in that span, would they stay ranked behind South Carolina who goes 4-2 in that same span, with a 3 TD loss in the 2nd to last game to an unranked 6-6 team? Would Bama only move up 1 spot in the CFP rankings for a top 12 win in week 12 on the road? The answer is, absolutely not. It's just idiotic. South Carolina has the best resume in college football the last 6 weeks, and probably the hottest team in the nation, but they move up 1 spot for beating an ACC championship game team, but also get placed behind an ACC team that has lost 2 of its last 3 games, to unranked teams nonetheless. That team also has ZERO top 25 wins on the season. ZERO. What a joke.

South Carolina got screwed. I thought the whole point was the best teams get in? The committee really is punishing them that much for losses to 3 ranked teams early in the season with a freshman QB? THat's clearly a much better team now, and everyone can agree on that. But Bama gets dogwalked in game 11 and they get in because of a 2pt home win in game 5?

I dislike Beamer and SC very much, but this is just depressing to see. Keeping out the hottest team, because of 2 top 15 losses and a loss to LSU from a bad call in week 3. Bama gets to lose to 2 unranked teams, but oh well; they have the 2 pt head to head win in Tuscaloosa. For anyone defending that, good luck explaining why 9-3 Florida got a BCS in 2018 over 9-3 Kentucky who beat them handidly at home.
