Bama beats the Irish 74 to 73.

It's Alabama's second straight top 25 win.

4-2 with 3 top 50 wins 2 top 25.

This is what helps the sec come tournament time. Early big wins.

Great win. They got up big in first half but ND came back and seemed to be asserting themselves so I stopped watching. Glad to see they prevailed. SEC has done pretty well vs. ACC so far.

Watched it in its entirety. It was a reasonably entertaining game given I didn't care too much about the outcome. I was pulling for Bama though. Avery Johnson was so excited…it was good to see.

Good win. Always nice when an SEC team beats a team from the Linebeard's conference, considering how much they trash the SEC in Bball.

We still obviously aren't a really good team, by any means, but that was two fun wins in a row. The best thing to see is some life and energy on the sideline after Grant's stoic routine for the last several years. Avery is recruiting well. Hopefully in a couple years we will be in position to make a little noise.

You folks have some good players to work with. Edwards was darn near unstoppable in the first few minutes of the game. And Kessens was dominating the boards in the closing minutes. Love the fight and determination he displayed.

Glad to see some SEC teams getting some nice wins before conference play. This will only help in March.

One huge difference I noticed about Alabama is their offense. They actually run some decent stuff now. That was the glaring weakness of Anthony Grant's teams. They always played strong defense but they just couldn't score the ball. I only watched about the last 10 minutes of the game, but what I saw made me say aloud, "I bet Bama basketball fans (if such a person still exists) are shouting hallelujah. They actually have offense!" Haha!

Aside from that, this was another big win for the SEC. I'm all about supporting our conference brethren. It's better for all of us on selection Sunday when the conference performs well in the OOC schedule.

By the way, not wanting to take anything away from Alabama's win, but Notre Dame isn't even close to the same team as last season. It was still a big win, but the Irish aren't what they were.

Watched Bama the first 2-3 games and you would swear they would not win 10 games.
I thought the same thing, I've been trashing them since the beginning of the season because it looked like they weren't being coached at all but AJ has done some nice things and has come away with some impressive wins. I like it.

Weird start to the year for them, but one that bodes well for Avery Johnson. They had that absolutely horrible loss to Dayton, where they looked 100% clueless. Then they got smacked by Xavier. Now, wins over Wichita and ND. Wichita is a mess without Van Vleet, and Notre Dame might not be a legit top 20 team, but this is still major progress in a very short time.

Neither is anyone this year. College hoops is down - precisely why this UK team has a shot in March/April.

Yeah but ND is not even a shell of itself. They have some talent but they are pretty bad right now.

Kentucky beat Duke

SEC 3-5 against ACC
Leave it to LSU coach to get beat again by NC State

This was a good win for Bama we need more of these from the conference to get more teams in this year.

The only way for LSU to lose to NCSt is to get out-coached. Getting out-coached by Mark Gottfried is really hard to do, I mean you only need a general knowledge of the game to beat a Mark Gottfried coached team. However, Johnny Jones went and defined the odds and lost. He had the best player in all of cbb and a pretty good supporting cast and he lost.
When is it going to hit Ben Simmons that he chose the wrong school?
Arkansas and A&M also should have won their games.
3-5 is better than what we're used to but it should have been flipped given the matchups.

Gonna be 4-5 on Dec 26th. Pretty good for a so called football conference and terrible basketball conference, don't ya think?

I'm still a little shocked Alabama was able to get Avery Johnson. You would think with his NBA background he could get a job at an established program. Great pickup by Bama and the SEC.
