Far Mitch Barnhart! No, it sounds far more suspicious than mere "wrong place wrong time." Consider:
1) Alarm bells go off about a huge amount of late money suddenly being bet on LSU vs. Bama.
2) Surveillance video and phone records prove that the gambler who placed the bets was on the phone with the Bama coach at the time he did so.
3) Right after the bets are placed, it's learned that Bama's ace pitcher has been scratched from the game and they instead are forced to go with a kid who hasn't started since March 16th.
Does that sound like mere coincidence to you? Sounds far more likely that the Bama coach was doing some dirty dealing with a gambler pal to make some easy money.

It’s amazing they can figure stuff out like this lightening quick. Other matters for example like Alec Baldwin shooting someone takes 2 years and he gets off free. No, it sounds far more suspicious than mere wrong place wrong time.

Yeah it did, he gave the guy inside information for a bet in a game he was coaching. That’s illegal. What’s funny is they figured it wouldn’t throw up flags when nobody bets on college baseball, Fanduel didn’t take a single bet on that game. They placed a bet in Indiana as well. I’m sure they will bring federal charges for interstate commerce. Usually the charge is wire transfer and conspiracy to transmit illegal betting information, they basically treat it like an illegal stock purchase.I place sports bets everyday...so I'm curious:
Nothing illegal happened here, am I right?
Yep, which leads me to suspect that this is going on a ton with folks getting away with it. This dude only got caught because the bettor was dumb enough not to use a burner phone and to make the calls right at the scene at the time of the bets under the eye of their surveillance cameras.Burner phones are cheap .. lol
I agree 100% with you. Whether it's players, refs or coaches they all have been caught red handed and shows the corruption is from every angle. I don't care how many final fours John Higgins calls I will never think he is anything less than a slime ball who determines the outcomes of games for gambling purposes.Sports wagering is the death of sports! Now that’ professional sports and essentially colleges sports are in bed with online betting partners, there is zero integrity involved!
Fox, I don't get that.Yeah it did, he gave the guy inside information for a bet in a game he was coaching. That’s illegal.
That’s what lobbying has done for the Casinos, I get it but you know peasants can’t have an advantage over the house. They can only legally cheat you.Fox, I don't get that.
Insider Trading in stock market...I get that.
But you're telling me...if my son (when he was playing in college) had called me an hour before the game to say: "Bad Back...Our Ace is out today"...(which EVERYONE on the Team now knows)...
That is a Crime???
That’s because one dude has protection as a criminal and the other one is just a peasant. You know it's interesting... the OCCC was notified about this last Friday, and phone records were produced and surveillance video reviewed in like 6 days and a decision made? The FBI takes like 26 years to investigate a laptop suspected of having illegal activity on it. Head scratcher? Or is your buddy, CatPatrick just stupid?
