I dont care if his name is Wilma, he is a bad dude, i like his abilities.
Watch a game where he and Alkins played on the same team. The two of them were unstoppable. Give me both of them.
Bam is a freak. Would love to have that athleticism. Fox, Monk, Bam and Gabriel would probably be Cal's most athletic team. Length, speed, quickness and bounce.
Not to mention SKJ and guys like Matthews, Mulder and Hawkins off the bench that are all super athletic.
I also like how having two traditional posts like Humphries and Wynyard affords us the luxury of being able to provide a different look out there when the situation calls for it.
Bam would be a beast with Fox, Monk, and Gabriel on the perimeter. Lots of lob opportunities and putbacks.
Adebayo, easily. Adebayo is an A+ athlete by any standard, big, strong, and explosive. Bolden is a solid 5 star prospect, but he's just not as gifted.
People are excited about the 16 class because you have multiple top guys with the type of athletic ability that sticks out immediately- the 30 second scouting report that basically just says "daaaaaaaamn!". I'd say that goes for Harry Giles, Josh Jackson, Malik Monk, Dennis Smith, and Bam, with Jayson Tatum and De'Aaron Fox not quite as impressive in terms of sheer athleticism, but still really elite because of how skilled they are.
He reminds me of a slightly thicker CJ Leslie. Both are/were uber athletes, great at put backs and dunking, lacking in terms of any type of jump shot, both had high light vids of nothing but dunks, and both end up at NC State unfortunately.
I have no inside info, just going off everything I've read to this point to where people say he's an NC State lock due to forces beyond his control i.e. someone close to him has taken money to guarantee his delivery to Gottfried along with Smith. For his sake, let's hope his career ends better than Leslie's did. Guessing CJ is somewhere overseas.

Man he is a BEAST! I'm not sure about where we are with him but I hope Cal doesn't let him leave without a commitment. Fantastic Footwork, Body Control and he looks to take pride in protecting the rim. Our best offense would for sure be missed shots, he looks to be the best rebounder we had here since Randle left. He has gone straight to the top of my wish list.

It would be really something if Cal could get another great player out of N.C. He would lead UK in rebounding that's for sure.

Not staying for the combine because of 48 hour limit on the visit seems like some poor planning on someone's part. Seeing all 30 nba teams in the house would've been a powerful demonstration of what UK and Cal can do for him. It's a shame he couldn't've caught a later flight into Lexington Friday night, or Cal couldn't've scheduled the combine to start a few hours earlier this afternoon.
The November signing date is just a few weeks away now. Out of Adebayo, Bolden, Giles, Allen, would you be willing to offer predictions yet?
He can absolutely stay.
He tweeted that he touched down in Lexington at 8:45 on Friday night.
If the visit started right at that very moment (which I doubt it did), that would give him until 8:45 PM tonight, at the end of the combine.
But the visit does not even officially start until he sets foot on campus, which I imagine was not until Saturday morning.
But even if it was on Friday night, it probably wasn't until well after 9:00.
So the 48 hour limit does not apply here.
He is the type player that could dominate other colleges bugs because of his strength and athleticism. If he goes to NC St he will be like many other before him who don't do much of anything. Reminds me of so many five star guys that have went to other SEC schools. Most never amount to much and some get drafted based on the hype from high school and never do anything afterwards. Those fools who say a coach does not do anything for a one and done are insane. Kid goes to UK or Duke and he is almost guaranteed 10-12 solid NBA seasons.
We are still a few years away from using Gatorade to irrigate crops, I hope.
