Bam Adebayo

All of our 5 guys are looking great, obviously but since the senior season is almost over a couple things stand out to me.
Bam Adebayo is as good or better than Jason Tatum and Harry Giles. Giles is out with injury of course, but to be honest Bam may be the best big in this class. Its a toss up, but Bam is an athletic freak at 6'-9-230 lbs. He is the same size as Terrence Jones but more athletic. And that's saying a lot. Every title UK has had included an athletic forward, and Bam is going to be a Load to stop next year, and a key rebounder which is what we are missing this year.
They can all score, all are averaging a ton of points, all are athletic. This class is special. If we add Marques Bolden, look out. He will start on next years team which will be loaded with scorers, rebounders, athletes, depth. The one thing we really need is Bolden, a true big ready to contribute. We have plenty of athletic long bigs but Bolden is the big body we need. Next year is going to be special. But Bam Adebayo continues to turn heads among scouts. Kid is very special.

I hope Bam works really hard on his mid range jump shot. if he can hit a decent % of those..... then he'll be a lot like a bigger T. Jones for us. and Jones was a big factor in us winning the title...his shot blocking... ability to spread the floor some and open up inside for Davis... and his ability to drive.

Yep Hump is going to play a ton next year. Even if we get Bolden I think Bolden and Hump split center minutes.

Sometimes the recruiting rankings are off. And sometimes it depends on where players go in college determines how well they succeed. Bams game translates well. He is going to be a beast.
I can tell you this, 2016 is loaded. But, the 2017 rankings are off

The only thing that worries me about Bam is how freakishly large he is. He looks like he's playing against little kids in all of his mixtapes. When there are guys that are just as big in college it might not look so easy for him. But otherwise he looks ridiculous and beyond excited to see him next year.

I disagree. Humphrey will turn out to be a big time player, and sooner, rather than later. He's a true center who can rebound and block shots. His scoring will improve because he a decent shooter and can make free throws. Can't wait until next year to see him play.

Cal said Bam was 6'10 and 260 now.
He doesn't look that heavy but Cal said it so I will go with that. If he is that big he will be a load from day one. He has a game away from the basket too so he isn't just a dunk machine.

Having stood beside him a few times in greensboro, i can tell you that he is freaking huge.

Completely off base. I bet you didn't think Willis would never play either. Humphries will play a ton no matter what . He is way to talented not to. There is a reason the scouts at UK's combine this year said he was the 3rd most promising player. Kid is going to be a high draft pick one day. I actually think is a much better prospect then Bolden though Bolden would play a ton here next year as well.

Bam will be a superstar. He's an absolute freak of nature. And 6'9 230 is a little off. LOL in all seriousness. by the time he gets to UK he'll probably be listed at around 6'10 250. He's going to get a lot of rebounds, block a lot of shots, and dunk the s*** out of the ball every time he touches it. LOL he's gonna throw down some monster dunks. And he seems to have that alpha male, in your face mentality to go along with his relentlessly high motor and freak athleticism. WHICH IS WHAT WE NEED FROM AT LEAST I PLAYER!!! His mid range game is improving big time. He'll be an all around PF and get a lot of attention on ESPN and all that, and he'll be one of the best PF's that Cal's had, and get drafted top 10. Think of a Deandre Jordan/Dwight Howard mix......Yeah.

I have no doubt that Humphries will put in the work in the off season. Humphries is not a world class athlete & never will be, but he is a basketball player. He and Willis have demonstrated the need for basketball players this year. Lee, Poy & Briscoe are athletes.....not basketball players and the difference shows this year
