Bagley considering reclassifying for this season

Here's to hoping USC.

..and if next year is Kentucky's season with an Elite class AND a great deal of holdover talent.. then I'm fine with getting one of the top guys out of the way this year (..if he wasn't going to UK anyways). Helps clear the path for us.

USC is going to very good this year! He would make them a top 10 team.
 
That would explain his recent remarks he's visiting Duke, Zona, and USC early and UK doesn't seem to be a major player.

UK pretty crowded at the 4-5 in 2017. At Duke, he'd just have to be convinced he cd play with Carter. Cd pair with Ayton for monster front court at Zona.

Hope he goes to USC, although it wd be somewhat amusing to see Bolden riding the bench again at Duke.
 
Hopefully he gets a creepy vibe while watching Capel eating pancakes on his Duke visit.

Also, what the heck was all the "UK leads" stuff from early on? Blind guessing from analysts again?

Bagley will immediately start and be a 1st team all-American where ever he goes. He is a generational-type player that makes what ever team he plays for the title favorite.

Has already visited UK and we had room for bamba but not Bagley? He starts at UK and gets all the minutes he wants

And? He has already visited UK he is just getting a few visits in. Was a rumor Bamba was told this could happen and its why he went to Texas. Recruiting gurus are just making an educated guess based on how many forwards we have. UK is wear Kat becomes the number one draft choice playing 19 min a game. Duke is where a selfish coach destroys Harry Giles draft stock to eek out a couple more wins in a season at that point everyone knew duke wasn't going to win. Easy decision he is a UK wildcat.

Calipari was watching Bagley yesterday I believe. I remember ralphdaltonfan saying to not be surprised when you hear he reclassifies later in the late July/early August. Then a different poster on here said he was friends with a Texas booster who told him "Thanks for Bamba. We got him after Cal informed him that Bagley would be joining the cats next year."

Have you heard any other updates on his situation @ralphdaltonfan ?

And it wouldn't have mattered even if they were both on scholarship. There's not a player that you (or anyone else) wouldn't kick off of scholarship to make room for Bagley.

BS that Cal told Bamba bagley would be a cat next year. 100% BS. Turn down a top 3 player in this years class for a recruit not even reclassified yet, yeah right[eyeroll]

I never said he did, and maybe you're right. There was a poster on here (can't remember his username) who said that is what a Texas booster told him. Then @ralphdaltonfan started talking about the rumors he had heard about Bagley reclassifying to play with UK this season.

Maybe you're right and that never happened, but I still find it interesting.

I can believe ppl knew bagley might reclassify. I'll never believe Cal told Bamba bagley was going to be a cat. Hope MB comes to UK but I'm not holding my breath, kid seems like he wants to stay out west. Hope it's not Duke

I hope it's not Duke as well. Bagley at UK this year makes us the favorites imo. Also, hopefully the poster who shared that story responds to this thread.

@MdWIldcat55 has the friend from Texas who told him the story to which you referred.

I don't believe @ralphdaltonfan ever said Bagley to UK. He may have said that when asked, Cal was honest with the Bamba camp that he(Cal) would recruit Bagley if he re-classes.

Below are all the quotes I was referencing. I believe that @ralphdaltonfan made an update or two that made me feel a bit less confident with Bagley, but don't quote me on that. In his original post, he basically just said he was no insider and could go to any of the schools on his list. He did say "One West Coast guy told friend he's heard UK for Bagley which got him excited, but my friend has not heard a thing or at least anything I could share with board at this time." He also said he had no reason to doubt @MdWIldcat55 friend's story. He mainly just discussed the rumor of Bagley reclassifying.

Friend just said that everyone at EYBL (agents, Nike guys, etc...) was talking of Bagley going to college this year. He didn't say where either--just that was word and nobody talks of "roster spots" because room will be made for a player of Bagley's talents. UCLA has a heavy influence at Sierra Canyon HS (teammate Cody Riley will be a Fr for Bruins this upcoming year) and as I passed along, the Nike guys don't want him at UCLA because of their move to UA. Only other non Nike school on his list was Kansas, who is Adidas and will gladly spend what it takes as we've seen with Wiggins and Josh Jackson to land guys.

It is interesting that in that pic of Jay Z everyone is showing at the EYBL this past weekend that nobody has mentioned who is in the same pic behind him (not one with team-but one where Jay Z is in stands). None other then William Wesley aka Worldwide Wes! CAA/RocNation in the building and if you think Jay Z was just there to see his nephew, you have bought the nice angle of this business.

I'm a big fan of Mo Bamba as a player and what he can become. If I could get Bamba or Bagley? Bagley 100% of the time. Good luck with this recruitment no matter when it takes place, but figured I'd pass on what I was told. Know CoachX11 and Jakarri have had some insight prior to this--school preference, rumors of what programs he likes, so I'll defer to them as I was just told the rumor was heavy out in LA this past weekend. One West Coast guy told friend he's heard UK for Bagley which got him excited, but my friend has not heard a thing or at least anything I could share with board at this time.

Again, nobody said he's going to UK if he does this, it very well could be any of his top schools and to proactively answer/address any future question, don't even bring up who would have "Room"--they would make room. Could make a connection to any program Bagley lists if this were to happen. Also, I just share what I am told and allowed to share, it's not like I'm some "insider" nor have I ever proclaimed to be one. Figure it was something I was told I could share and would be of interest since Bagley has UK his final list. Hope it all goes the way you like, but let's not get crazy and place any importance of me as an "insider".

As for the gentleman who shared his info from friend from Texas. I have no reason to doubt him. He shared something he was told and admitted he had no idea of who Bagley was . Nowhere did I read him say he was predicting this, just thought he'd pass on info he was told. Don't think he's a horrible "troll" if this doesn't happen. It's a topic and you share things you are told and allowed to share, and some people take this way too seriously. Even worse on Twitter, where ego of some people is to point you wonder if they are Manic Depressive. lol

I just can't fathom how he's eligible, especially a year early.

Going to be wild to watch this summer, but all the west coast talk lately, the clear opening to be the man at USC and their buzz as a potential dark horse this year is a recipe that seems to fit.

We'll see.

So it was @MdWIldcat55 who mentioned Cal being straight with the Bamba camp re: his intentions about Bagley.

@ralphdaltonfan may have only confirmed the chatter about a reclass. I'm almost positive he never said Bagley to UK.
