Calipari is a ****ing abomination to coaching.

While watching the atrocious defense something dawned on me, Oakland was running designed offensive sets.
So, not only is our defense abysmal, we didn't execute anything on the offensive end. If it isn't a dribble weave floppy action there's absolutely ZERO movement, screening, or cutting.
How easy is it to prepare for UK?!?!? No wonder Oakland was excited about the opportunity.

You're exactly right!! I thought the same thing. All we did all night long was fan the ball outside the 3 point line because we were clueless on how to attack a basic zone defense!!! Coaching malpractice at its finest!!!!

I thought UK started out the game in the right direction by going inside . They were getting fouls and the Oakland coach mentioned that. Why uK got away from that makes no sense. Again I'll always go with the thought of you cant play 18,19 yo kids against 23,24 yo men. Cant take the contact.
This shows several examples of how this teams bad defense is a direct result of coaching as far as i'm concerned. I have said this for years. The more they are "coached" by Calipari, the worse they become. There are zero excuses for these players to be this bad defensively as a team. The players are attempting to follow bad coaching and receive the blame when the results are not good. I truly believe there are numerous coaches out there who could take this roster and within two weeks you would see a much better defensive team.
