Austin has been named to the Lou Groza Award watch list. Lots of players on lots of preseason lists. This kid is only a Soph. He has a hell of a career still ahead of him. He will win us lots of games before he graduates.

He is really good! And RSing him, even though he wanted to play, was the smart thing his frosh season. Congrats Mac!!

41 XPs and 21 FGs makes 104 total points as a FR. The record is 305 by Lones Seiber. I would hope to see the number of FGs go down and the number of XPs go up. So not sure it would equal out to 104 per season for the next 3 years. I look for him to average 15 FGs and 50 XPs per season. That would be 95 points per season. That would be 389 points when he graduates. Shattering the record.

He has a solid chance at winning it. Best kicker in the SEC at the very least. He's going into his sophomore season, has a lot of reps under his belt, and has likely improved his already solid consistency and kick distance.

I too am rooting for him but we must remember that his kick is Only as good as the other two members that make it happen. Kelly Mason and the new holder this year Landon Foster.
