Those of you who are talking about how Auburn is awful should check out the talent pool. In Auburn's last 4 recruiting classes they have 9 five star players. NINE!!!!!!! We have had 2 in our entire history of football, and none in years. Auburn has had 45 four star players in the last 4 years. We have had 16 four star players.

Based on talent alone we shouldn't have even been in the game. So those of you fans who are complaining about this being the same old Kentucky football and how you won't even watch anymore this year really just make me sick. I'm hopeful you were simply seized by disappointment last night when posting such nonsense and have come to your senses today.

I told my wife with about 10 minutes left in the game that we may lose, but I'm so proud of our team and how we are in every single game we play now. Gone are the days of losing 65-3 to the Florida's of the world. We have put ourselves in position to have a chance to win every game. Guys, we aren't quite there yet, but nobody with any sense really thought we would be there completely by year 3. This team is doing what was expected in year 3. Much much improved, but need one more recruiting class to get over the hump.

Do you realize the kind of talent that is red-shirting this year? We have a handful of true freshman red shirting that would have been starting or playing heavily in Stoops first or second year. They are GOOD. They will be difference-makers. We return virtually the entire offense next year.

I guess what I'm saying is enjoy the progress. It is real and it is tangible. Yea, the loss last night stung. We could have won it. Some coaching mistakes for sure, some questionable play calling, and some dropped passes that were killers. As for Dawson, apart from the last series he really called a fantastic game. Many different receivers utilized, we got the TE involved finally, and again, had a chance to beat a team that was ranked #6 preseason. Disappointed, but I will NOT give up on this team. They are too good and too young and our time is coming.
