Auburn fires Bryan Harsin

Maybe... they do have a proven history of bad hires. One more won't hurt.
This. Why on earth would they be interested in a guy who came in and is producing at a lower level than his predecessor even tho he has the same QB, a top 3 SEC RB, and more Weapons at Receiver than the guy he replaced had?? Sure blame it all on the OLine but they’ve gotten better down the back half of the season and our offense continues to get worse

Auburn atleast tries Freeze or whatever his name is. Guaranteed.
Hugh freeze just signed a multi year extension w Liberty a week or so ago. Obviously he could leave if Auburn was willing to pay whatever contract agreement he’d owe Liberty to break it at this point

With the contract he has at Liberty Freeze would be crazy to go to Auburn unless he just has a strong desire for not just the spotlight, but the intense scrutiny that comes with the SEC, which is amplified at Auburn with the boosters. And based on Harsin not getting but 1 2/3 seasons, any incoming HC will have to know they will not be given much time to right the ship.

Exactly. I don’t think he has the desire to jump back into a high pressure job. He left in scandal and went and recouped his image at Liberty and has a retirement gig there basically. He has also had health issues, even coaching from a hospital bed in the booth at one point. I think he’s comfy at Liberty and retires from there within the next 5-10 years

I hope they go after Stoops. I know they'll want a big name and good coach this time around. But the last 2 coaches sucked so you never know. A little hope for our fan base maybe they'll call.
OK, then who do you call to replace Stoops that will do better?

Hope they at least hire the ut oc. I know hype all drives that train but any attrition to their staff is welcomed. We need their momentum stalled to some degree

The AU fans are convinced the reason they just hire the MSST AD was for him to hire Prime Time. He is without question #1 on the fans wishlist.

Don't know why anyone would want to go to that egotistical, unrealistic, want to be like Bama fan base to coach. If they can find a red neck, Pat Dye look a like, most, not all would be happy. They'll always be little brother to Bama. When I lived in Alabama in the 80's, I couldn't believe the moaning, groaning, bitching, crying and out right jealously toward Bama. I didn't have a dog in that fight but the Auburn fan base pushed me toward Alabama to kick them every time they played. IMO Auburn is a place where coaches go to fail, no matter their success, there never satisfied.

This is a head scratcher.

Can Prime be as successful at Auburn? I think he does well at J St because 3 - 4 players can be the difference at that level.

In the SEC you have to a strong first team + Depth. The SEC will find a team’s weakness!

He’s going to need a place that will allow him to use NIL money to its full extent. That’s where I think Prime would excel!
