Not really...Their biggest loss is Carl Lawson...their best pass rusher by far is likely out vs. Kentucky.
I'm one who fell for the Johnson hype. He came in the game Marshall was suspended and absolutely lit up Arkansas. I think Auburn misused him and should have used him more in the run game he may not be as quick as Marshall but he has great speed and size. Could cause a lot of problems in the run game and open up his passing. Interesting to see how the backup does, just glad we get to see some game film of him prior to playing them.
He has been out since the first half of the UL game.
Has to be incredibly disappointing for Auburn fans, having a player that was hyped as a Heisman contender before the season, only to be a horrendous QB. If any backlash comes from this, it's all on Malzahn. He was the one that started this whole "Jeremy Johnson for president" campaign.
Johnson has been terrible and hasn't improved. They needed to make a change.
Towles has done some good things and some bad things. I think he's played better than Johnson. No need to make a change at UK yet...
IndeedIt's arguable.
QB Rating: Johnson is 89th in the country (10th in the SEC) at 121.2. Towles is 106th nationally (13th in the SEC) at 109.4.
Total QBR (ESPN): Towles is 79th nationally (10th in the SEC) at 51.4. Johnson is 98th in the country (12th in the SEC) at 42.3.
Which is to say ... they've both been pretty awful so far.

I know...Auburn announced today he is going to be out for an extended amount of time with that hip injury
You did not hear Tammy on Paul Finebaum yesterday...Classic rant against Malzahn yesterday
A 51.4 Total QBR is not awful. That basically means 51.4 percentile. A 109.4 QB rating is pretty bad, though. It's arguable.

One was preseason 4..almost losing to nobodies, that has recievers who don't drop open passes, has a veteran O-line, and still has thrown 6 picks and not has just missued players by a ltitle bease of touch, has not evendors brent close. And has a mature back up and another back up who has actually played significant minutes in 2012.It's arguable.

The other has won 2 games, with tons of youth, has gotten first downs himself and even scored in crucial minutes, and has an immature back up who plays with air guns, gets in fights at bars, and has shown no leadership qualities, bUT its known he is the savior somehow.
Yep, cut and dry.
