When you watch the big game tomorrow I suggest you do so on the ESPN channel that is telecasting what I believe is called "Film Room" (or something like that). They did this last year for the first time.

They have 4 or 5 FBS coaches (not talking heads) watching live, fast playback, "coach study" type video, not your basic TV network shots. Last year I believe Matt Millen was the "host" and he was the dullest knife in the drawer.

These guys break down all the key plays or plays where they want to illustrate a point in near real time. I found it very entertaining. Of course, your wife or any "regular" fans at your house will likely not be happy with that channel choice.

I watched that as they were doing a live game once before, pretty interesting and different.

Interesting that all four ESPN channels say 2015 NC playoff for the 8:30 to midnight slot, but the game is on ESPN, it is called "Off the ball" on ESN, "ESPN Voices" on ESPNU, and your choice is "Film Room" which is on ESPN2. No idea what the other formats are like, might be interesting to check them out also.

SEC network did it for the UofA OSU game.....it was great watching the breakdown, diagraming immediately after the play, upcoming play predictions by the staff based on down, distance and formation.

It's a good gimmick IMHO. I enjoyed flipping back and forth. You sacrifice some coverage for their banter, and much of their banter is good, but some of it is just rambling/jawing. Use the jump button generously is my advice.

Watching the coaches telecast. It's fascinating that they can not stop talking. They see something every play. Strategy or psychology.even more respect for the job these guys do.

I tuned into the "sounds of the game"'channel on ESPN Classic and really enjoyed it. All you could hear were the pads smackin, the bands, the crowd, and the PA announcer. Was something different
