Stoops told the spring game crew that the team was looking to add a DB and an OT. This might be a money deal with the ATM player though, oh Jimbo probably blew his budget on the 21' recruits.Played 15 games past two years. Guess he wasn't gonna start and wants a new gig. Are we still looking or did Buford, Flax, Goodwin, et al do enough in the spring that we'll sit tight?
Why? He has played a lot, but one has to wonder why he opted out?We need him.
Why? People have been transferring right and left in conference the last few years and not sitting out a year. What is different in this case?Derick Hunter

Been there 3 years, not sure he's a grad transfer. Idk how much he played or how well He just entered the portal so prob can't transfer in the conference
The SEC put a Feb 1st cut off date for inter conference transfers. Why? People have been transferring right and left in conference the last few years and not sitting out a year. What is different in this case?
The C that left UGA, Clay Webb is on the small side. He was a 5 star recruit but undersized and not a SEC or even P5 OLNew SEC rule. Have to enter portal before Feb 1 to transfer intra conference & play that season. Normal portal deadline is May 1 for leaving SEC or entering SEC.
That's why no SEC teams are interested in the 2 5* o linemen who left Georgia this week.

The SEC rule is different than the NCAA rule. May 1 in NCAA. SEC to transfer within the conference is Feb 1The deadline is May 1st. So the pieces will begin to fall soon for in conference players.
Spam the thread all you want, doesn't change the facts of the SEC Feb 1 rule that you are uneducated and uninformed aboutThe deadline is May 1st. So the pieces will begin to fall soon for in conference players.

Maybe with the class Jimbo has coming in, he had to take a pay cut ?Why? He has played a lot, but one has to wonder why he opted out?
Misinformation spammer, just ignoreYou just replied to 4 different comments 4 separate times saying the same wrong info ..
..and then get triggered when corrected? I'd say you need to get over yourself...
Who knows if that is the reason, but it is a fascinating aspect of NIL evolving to straight out buying recruiting classes.Maybe with the class Jimbo has coming in, he had to take a pay cut ?
I kinda wondered about that last year when the Wandale and Levis NIL deals were being discussed. I didn’t see anything about returning star Crod . I wondered what he thought about it .Who knows if that is the reason, but it is a fascinating aspect of NIL evolving to straight out buying recruiting classes.
What about their teammates already there, who have been there for yrs working hard playing hard? A veteran Texas player last week put yoynger teammates on blast, saying they only care about partying with their new money, don't want to work to earn bug future money as successful NFL players.
I think locker room drama about NIL money is inevitable.
Thanks, I didn't know thatThe SEC put a Feb 1st cut off date for inter conference transfers.
For recruits from other conferences. The SEC made it Feb 1st for inter conferenceIt’s May 1st.
Coach Stoops is currently looking for one OT and one CB from the transfer portal. He recently confirmed this during a televised interview on the SEC Channel. By my quick count, those two additions would give us 85 scholarship players prior to our own spring attrition.Played 15 games past two years. Guess he wasn't gonna start and wants a new gig. Are we still looking or did Buford, Flax, Goodwin, et al do enough in the spring that we'll sit tight?
I'm guessing both the OT and CB will outside the SEC so that they can play this year, wouldn't you think?Coach Stoops is currently looking for one OT and one CB from the transfer portal. Smith is one of them from ole Miss. He entered early enough and/or he's a grad transferI'm guessing both the OT and CB will outside the SEC so that they can play this year, wouldn't you think?
need a waiver but apparently they aren't hard to getWhy? People have been transferring right and left in conference the last few years and not sitting out a year. What is different in this case?
They weren't hard to get last year, but we haven't seen anyone apply for one this year after the rule changeneed a waiver but apparently they aren't hard to get
No. I think Stoops is looking at transfers from inside and outside the conference. If he takes an inside transfer, he will apply for a waiver or take a player eligible to play immediately. There are a number of possibilities.I'm guessing both the OT and CB will outside the SEC so that they can play this year, wouldn't you think?
Jimbo gets really offended if anyone says that great class was anything other than hard work by the staff! No money was involved!😂Maybe with the class Jimbo has coming in, he had to take a pay cut ?
Rosenthal started out as a DL too. But he was like a two year starter at OT before he transferred here.I don’t think this is the OT we would be looking for anyways. He came in as DL and only moved over to OL last year. He played in 4 or 5 games but wasn’t a starter
