Other notes:

-They predict that UF won't win a game outside of Gainesville; hence, they predict a UK win.

-They predict two SEC teams in Playoff.

-The predict UK wins 1-2 out of the group of UT, Mizzou, Aubie, and UL.

-Despite the point above, they predict 6 wins, so that means that they don't predict us to win any roadies outside of candy.

I think we will get 7-8 wins this year. the kids have bought in and the coaches have a couple of years experience in their belts GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!:uzi::football:

i would take that. indy is close enough to draw a good crowd of mostly UK fans. unc would be solid opponent. not sure how good they are this year but they usually have decent talent and fedora looks like he has them going the right direction.

An Indy Bowl would be great. Different area for the Cats to play in. And, I think the BBN would fill Lucas Oil Stadium just as much as we did Nashville for the Music City Bowl.

I'd take the bowl, but please not the opponent. I can hear the endless basketball comparisons coming already:

ESPN: "Kentucky and UNC met in a showdown today, and no, we're not talking about basketball" laughs

National articles for a month leading up to the game: "the names Kentucky and North Carolina bring up basketball memories, but this time they're meeting on the gridiron"

I can see it already...basketball yet again finding a way to overshadow football..even in its successes..I'd guess that there are about 50 other bowl opponents that each team would much rather have than a matchup between "basketball" schools. Give me anyone but North Carolina or Duke.

By "Indy" bowl I think that means Independence Bowl in Shreveport La. Pretty sure there is not a bowl game in Indianapolis.

Never mind then. I couldn't get the page to load and assumed Indianapolis. Hoping there was a new bowl I had not heard of. I would rather go to Nashville then Shreveport.

Yes, sorry I didn't intend to be misleading. I believe that there actually is a bowl game at Lukas Oil now, so I shouldn't have abbreviated.

The projection has us going to Shreveport for the INDEPENDENCE BOWL.

For whatever it's worth, I don't see many scenarios where UK goes to Shreveport. If we win 6, Nashville would probably die to have us there again. If we win 7 or more, I wouldn't be surprised to see the TaxSlayer bowl or Belk or maybe even Outback. Blue sells tickets, and many of these bowls have had trouble selling out the last few years.

The same thing happened with UT last year. They were only 6-6, but the Taxslower bowl in Jax wanted them b/c they hadn't been bowling in a few years, UT fan enthusiasm and morale was high, and the place was filled with Orange.

My god, if a .500 UT can draw a pissy Iowa team in the Gator UK can get themselves into Fla too.

I never put too much thought into pre season projections. UK vs UNC is possible but by mid season the projections will likely look entirely different. I think UK gets six to seven wins and makes a bowl game.

I think a bowl game in Indianapolis is a great idea if they haven't come up with it yet. It's indoors at a decent venue. Sure beats bowl games in Shreveport or Birmingham in the dead of winter. Both of those bowl game locations should be outlawed. Let's just get to six wins with one of them being over Louisville.
