Where was Baker to start the 4th quarter??? I will concur with many that advocate keeping Towles in the game however, it was apparent in the 3rd quarter that Patrick had lost his edge! If Baker is anywhere close to being as proficient as Coach Stoops says he is,(?), he should have been inserted to begin the 4th quarter! There have been ample posts concerning Towles' positives & his negatives. Giving Baker an opportunity, (when the game is on the line), as Coach stressed prior to the game would have provided a fresh environment to the focus of the Offense.
Giving Baker his opportunity would not mean replacing Towles as the QB, but simply a change of pace in this particular game!!!
