I have said this in several post over the last year. I am so proud of our Basketball and Football programs now! We have been the laughing stock around the country in football. I have to give it to Coach Stoops and his staff and the fine young men who represent UK now. We are not a laughing stock and the media guys needs to read and study up on our team - this is not the Kentucky rosters of the recent past.
We all knew it would be a hard road and take a remarkable effort from the coaches - especially in recruiting. But you can see the players have a different attitude - even during the first year. You could see it last year. You can see it even more this year - this team deserves the "refuse to lose" moniker!
We are very young and have a long way to go - but as Coach Cal has said from day one - I'll take talent over experience! We will still take sum lumps - but not without a fight! The next few years are going to be special!
