Are you angry?

Naw, Im happy the Vikings are going to the Super Bowl and that Kentucky basketball is winning it all as well. UK football is usually a farce.

Lol. You're a fkn idiot, and because you're such an idiot and askhole, talkin sht every fkn day, I hope we don't do sht in basketball so you and the others like you choke on the sht you eat. I was rooting for them, but may the viqueens skid the last 7 weeks and tank their season.

Not angry at all. It's just a game ultimately and has 0 impact on my life. It's a passionate hobby and nothing more, same with the titans and uk basketball and st Louis cardinals baseball, etc. If you get angry over a game college guys play you need to check your priorities.

I'm not talking during the game or up to maybe 1 hour after but overall anger or for days after a loss. Issues. Major.

Disappointed. Hype at the beginning of the season was just that. We've heard it before. This program wants respect and just when you think they are going to start getting it they shit the bed. It is what it is.
I do think injuries have really hurt them. But I agree the hype is why I’m disappointed.

Why is this allowed? Seriously do you talk to people in life like this or just when you can hide?

Frustrated is probably it for me. Frustrated with the total regression of the offense and CMS irrational refusal to address the need for a ST coach.

We should be 7-1.

With that being said, I predicted this team would be 7-5 before the season started because of the difficulty of the schedule, NOT because I thought offense and ST would suck eggs.

Right now, 6-6 could become a reality if CMS can't pull a rabbit out of his rear with this offense.

Ditto, I learned a while back that stewing does nothing for me...I am one who has literally ripped my shirt off after a deflating UK loss and I think back on how stupid I must have looked as it was in front of a bunch of people! So, not angry here, just very disappointed at what most of us here thought would be a very good year.

Not angry. Football isn't worth getting angry.
Disappointed yes. Maybe in myself for not seeing the obvious pitfalls...rookie o line, new OC, new line coach. Other teams named Georgia and Alabama might handle it. We didn't.

Also disappointed in overall coaching. Play calling, focusing the team, adapting to games, playing to capability.

These are all just disappointing.

Angry ? You are an idiot if you are angry ? Count me stupid .... LOL Hell yes I'm angry , the offense should be roaring and its pathetic , we cant kick a FG or an extra point .. when this could have been a season where we were 7-0 going into Tn last week .. a matchup of top 5-6 teams and the game wouldnt have been a rout ( IMO) .. huge chance , once in a decade to be highly ranked and draw recruits like we never have a shot at .. but it all crumbled , so mad , disappointed , how ever you wish to describe it , we are 5-3 . If we close with perfection we end 8-4 ... which is a letdown of large proportions for diehards like me that wanted something special . Oh well.

Mostly disappointed that we went from a team that was known for good, tough, fundamental FB founded on high quality line play-to-a team that can't block on offense, pressure an opposing QB on defense, nor kick in any capacity (to include PATs) on special teams.

The Cats are looking pretty ragged out there right now (to borrow a Cawood description), and I hope we can get back to doing the little things right....blocking, tackling, and kicking for starters.

GBB!

This whole thread, in a nutshell, is exactly why UK does not (and probably never will) have an upper tier football program in the SEC. UK fans don't get angry when they go 6-6, 7-5, they throw a freaking party and pay their coach bonuses. Until the fanbase as a whole gets angry and demands better, it will get whatever Stoops gives it. Which will be a little bit better than what UK has traditionally been, but never good enough to seriously contend for anything meaningful.

Somewhere in anger and sadness. UK football doesn’t get opportunities like this season often in terms of personelle and it’s depressing that Scangarello wasn’t more prepared. He has been a real dud and imo should be let go. You don’t screw an opportunity like this and not be held accountable. Additionally his presence is going to kill us when it comes to rebuilding the offense for the immediate future. It’s

I am yeah. But I’m angry in an irreverent way since this is just sports. But it happens to be my favorite form on entertainment so there’s a little anger there since I get excited about my teams. Maybe I’m more bummed than angry but if I’m being honest with myself, yes I get pissed. But I bounce back after a day or so.

From the outside looking in, your fanbase should be really angry. As a Tenn fan, I know a lot about being angry for many years. Your team has talent, but it seems like the coaching up isn't there. I see a lot of people taking up for Stoops because of what he has done in ten years, but I don't see it. Yes, he has taken the program to a higher level, but he has peaked. I don't see Stoops bringing home any trophies, ever. UK fans should be furious and demand someone that can put an elite team on the field every Saturday. Stoops isn't your guy for that with his slow outdated gameplay. #donthate #nottrolling

Before this season began, most of the fans (including the polls on here) were predicting a 8-4......maybe 9-3.....season. Soooo, here we are very possibly looking at a 8-4 season......sure, we could go 7-5 which is just one game off the majority prediction. We had a stellar RB, a promising QB, and a good looking defense......so there was reason for optimism. However, we lost nearly every receiving threat from last yr, a OL rebuild to go along with a new OL coach, and a new OC. There was plenty of reasons for skepticism.

The issue is that once we stepped on Florida decently the hype train got out of control. And now that we've lost 3 of the last 4, those people who got wrapped up in the hype are crashing back to earth.

Right now, it's easy to slip into pessimism because we just got spanked. But, let's actually look at the season in it's entirety. Very, very few people would predict that we'd have problems with the long snapper. If we didn't have the long snapper issues, we'd would've likely beat Ole Miss. If Levis wasn't injured for USC, we'd likely would've been competitive.....very possibly beat them. So, we're a long snapper and a brief QB injury from being 7-1 with wins over a ranked Florida, ranked Ole Miss, and ranked MSU teams.

Very disappointed, Stoops just does not have what it takes to get Ky past the same old Ky.

Really?! You do realize that UK has averaged winning ~4 games a year since the 1950's? Stoops is so very, very far beyond "same old Ky".....

.....now, if you're argument is that he doesn't have what it takes to compete for SEC or national championships then you might have something.....

I understand your frustration but HerrosHeroes is an insufferable sunshine pumper and/or troll.
This is correct other than where you say you understand Ed. He’s as bad as HH only in a different way. They’re the two worst posters on this board and that’s saying something.

Disappointed in Coach Stoops.

-10 years in and with his most talented overall team and we STILL make DUMB mistakes that cost us games.

-hiring an OC and Line Coach that have been an abject FAILURE with an NFL QB, WR’s and TE’s.

UK rarely has this kind of talent to go with a solid defense. We’ve went from “Why not us” to "Will we ever?”

There is a very large portion of the fanbase who are able to take a step back, take a breath, and have a deeper understanding of the state of the Kentucky program. Our program has been trash for a very long time.......for over half a century. It's very difficult for UK to hire a great coach with that history......and almost impossible to make great hires consecutively.

For example, if by some miracle we were to hire a guy like Urban Meyer. He'd come in, turn us around really fast, win big, then leave. Because our program history is so poor, we'd likely go right back to the basement.

However, guys like Frank Beamer exist. Virginia Tech was a so-so program before he was hired. But now people still view VT as a decent program.....and fans, media, etc....are still waiting for VT to re-emerge back into the top 25. So, what made the change? It was the fact that Beamer was there for 28 yrs. He didn't win a national championship and his record bounced around from 7 wins up to 10+ wins from year to year. There wasn't a single VT fan that was satisfied and didn't want more.....but there is no doubt about Beamer's impact on the program long term.

So, just like Stoops. There isn't a single fan that would take 7 wins over 8, etc. So, when people celebrate anything over >6 wins in a year, it's because they know that although it's not ideal it's still a small step towards changing the program long term.

As with all Cat fans I hoped it would have gone better than it has to date. If we get to 8 wins going into bowl season it hasn't been too bad. Who could have seen UT turning into a buzz saw, we had the Ole Miss game won, if we hang on to that one we probably don't lose to SC.

Our O-line hasn't lived up to expectations and the OC probably has to go but we are still in a better place than 90% of UK teams over the past 50 or so years.

IMO, that's why Barnhart's comment about microwave fans infuriated so many people, the shoe fit so many in our fan base.

People can't square the fact that UT, UA, and UF have done exactly what they are suggesting, all schools with more football history, and struggled for years swapping out coaches. Some how, they've convinced themselves that this time it will be different. All with, less history, less resources, and less high school talent (Local). It makes your brain hurt trying to understand the way people think.

No, I certainly wish they could do better but angry at a sports team is a bit irrational

Can’t be angry. We’ve known who B1G Stoops is for a long, long time. Serious red flags during “big” wins in the past. Games that were won that felt like losses.

Thats absolutely inaccurate .. most fans wanted and predicted a 9-3 or even a 10-2 year , only a small minority predicted 8-4 . Most thought the Georgia game would be very meaningful , now it looks like the annual loss it always is . " look at the season in its entirety " ??? Yeah its a total failure . Playing the if If If If game only excuses poor coaching , terrible offensive and terrible special teams .. it shouldn't be tolerated . Your rosy " we should be 7-1 " statement is pie in the sky dreaming . You are what your record says you are !

But…. Most of predictions that were 9-3 or 10-2, came with the disclaimer that a few things had to break right for that to happen. Obviously they haven’t, it is what it is, other teams are good and have good coaching. The crazy overreacting isn’t helping anything, and most just fall back on their tired old repeat machine…. Stoops micro manages the Offense. We did not overcome the obstacles that were discussed in great detail pre season. Oh well, it happens.

There’s just something odd about taking coaching change advice from a tenn fan. You guys made how many bum hires in the last decade? Including one coach that you guys basically lynch mobbed at the direction of a radio host before he could even unpack his bags. Your own board was praising stoops during this time. I saw it with my own eyes

Remember that scene in office space where the guy was miserable all the time until one day he was hit by a car but he sued and became a millionaire? Then he sat there in a body cast and told the main guy to keep his chin up that maybe one day he could be a millionaire like him. I think the guy in the body cast is you right now

As a free human, you absolutely do not have to take my advice. As I stated, I know a lot about being an angry Tenn football fan with all our coaching debacles. It has been a complete mess over the years. Yes, a lot of guys on our board did praise Stoops at the time, but I would venture to believe that the feeling has changed to more along the lines of what I stated above as of late. However, I never see anyone speak of him anymore, so that speaks volumes in my opinion.
Have a great day.
