Most of you know that our team has seen 4 players leave the team this season. I thought that was strange, but I just learned that #2 South Carolina just had their second player leave the team. So, are player defections more common in the ladys' game?

Is a defection a female infection?

I know only one thing about women and sports. Volley ball camel toes.

Hey, it's still a contribution.

Doesn't defection mean you leave one for another or something?

No offense to the ladies but there is more drama and emotion surrounding the women's programs.
I heard Jeff Walz ( UL coach ) talk about it. Said If the men's team has a physical practice and players get into it, it's accepted as part of the game and by supper it's all forgotten. He said if it happened to the women, lines and sides would be drawn and they wouldn't be talking for weeks.

Same in the business world If you've ever managed or in some regard supervised an office/department of mostly women....you spend more time refereeing than you do managing.

Link? One of those things that everybody knows from real world experience.. just can't imagine a high-profile individual saying it in public without getting eviscerated nowadays.

It's not worth bringing up women's sports on this board cause all your going to get is rude, crude and sexist remarks.

Time to start a women's board rivals.

Dont ya love these types of phenomena? It's true, everyone knows it, no one tries to correct it, and you're not allowed to discuss it.

if we followed the same lead with cancer 1/3 of the population would be dead.

So it could be shut down in 3 days for lack of traffic due to that small issue that no one cares?

Government funding maybe? The collective good?

Hey, it would make it. At a deficit, but it'd make it. :)

You beat me to it. No one would even notice or care except UCONN fans (maybe). UT is no longer a women's hoops school since Pat is gone, and now think they are a football school again. 1 natty title in 50+ years makes them a powerhouse there evidently.

Exactly. Women wouldn't even care, they'd just complain about it somehow.

Tennessee is no longer a power. They're on the level of South Carolina in my book. But oh yea, if they produce better than an 8 win regular season you won't hear the end of it. At least I won't.

Here's my opinion....Non sexist version....I believe the market for women Pro players is very small. So if they aren't happy where they are at, the women are most likely just moving on to play somewhere that they get more PT or feel they are treated better. Or just getting out of BB and looking ahead to a career.

Or they get knocked up.
