Apollo Loses Another Player to Prep School

Didn't seem to bother Holman staying in Owensboro winning a state championship and signing with Mississippi State. No state title with Wright but he's already committed to MSU before ever playing a game at IMG. This will be Youngs third school in 3 years. Ton of talent but somethings amiss don't think he avg double digits at Apollo

That's usually not a good sign.

Best if luck to him at HPrep, he's still near the state. Is he good enough today Cal to recruit? I've heard/read the name but I don't know much about him. Size/position?

Probably a good move, the prep school route is basically what Cal sells to recruits when he wants them to come to UK. Come practice against good competition every day and it will prepare you better for the next level. With as many of these schools that are around these days it makes since for kids to go that option for exposure since college scouts will be at games/practice much more frequently like NBA scouts with UK.

Apollo went from potential state champions to a middle of the pack 3rd region team in two weeks. Unreal.

Interesting. I live fairly close to Huntington Prep. With him and Bridges on the roster I may have to go to a game this year.

I grew up and played football with Trace's dad. I don't know where he gets the height from. His dad was a decent athlete and played football for campbelsville. Lots of folks giving their family hell for trace transferring to Apollo just 30 minutes away. I wish he had the chance to go to prep school from the beginning and maybe it wouldn't have been so harsh. Trace's dad really wants an offer from UK. I think most coaches have told the family that prep school,is the way to go. More exposure , better talent, and gives, them a better evaluation if he can be a top rated player.
