Legend says Lorenzen used to practice throwing through the uprights from the 50 yard line while on his knees. Lorenzen knows power. Being his ex coach would probably give him a realistic idea. Should be easier to get a hold of him vs the actual QB, though. Twitter and all.
My guess is Towles could sling it the length of the field if the need really arose.

I'm pretty sure you never played one down or understood any of the games you watched on tv. Least important qb quality. Second ridiculous post by you on Towles today. Surely you've exhausted your treasure trove of ignorance by now.
Joe Flacco has won the NFL long toss contest the last few times they had it. I think he hit somewhere around 74 yds. Generally speaking if you hear about someone throwing 70-80+ yds I'd be very skeptical because guys that can actually do it are rare, rare.
Also, throwing distances are like heights and 40 times. Everyone exaggerates them. If you see a guy listed as 5'11" then he's probably 5'9" or 5'10". You can see this with the NFL combine. All of the sudden those college heights, weights, and 40 times that were previously reported aren't accurate.

I think he was referring to how easy it seemed for Towles to throw the ball such a large distance. Not that he put it on the money or something like that. I think it is a question bred out of sheer curiosity. I'd like to know how far he can chuck it, but I recognize that it means basically nothing as far as game management and play-making is involved.
