Currently looking into going to the UK/Georgia game on 10/7 with some friends and are in the logistics stage right now. Any fans here going and know where to park/tailgate/good areas to stay?

Allow plenty of time. Traffic in & especially out of Athens is real bad in Atlanta direction. That's why I stayed north.

Make sure you visit downtown Athens before and after the game. Best college town bar scene in the country IMO. It has been said there are around 80 bars in that district. It is also within walking distance to the stadium (downtown abuts campus) so I usually just park somewhere downtown. In summary, I prefer doing the tailgating/driniking/eating thing by bar hopping downtown.
