Sounded more like hedging to me as opposed to any sort of hint.

I think he expects to be drafted by Minnesota and there's no indication or buzz out there that he won't be, but no deal is ever guaranteed until the names are signed on the dotted line.

granted they are one of the worst franchises, but i don't think they are even that dumb

It's done. He's just mature and seasoned enough to give the right answers.

How in the world does Minnesota keep a franchise. What happens when all players start turning down their offers except D league Studs?

Uhh... Well why wouldn't Minnesota keep their franchise? They got rid of Kahn and McHale as GMs and have a rising young team so they are on the rise. While Minnesota never won a title with KG, they did have some decent success

Batum (he was a hot commodity at the time) signed with them as a RFA and Portland matched. They've signed other players over the years. No superstars, but very few markets are superstar destination markets at all. KG and Love wanted out because of ineptitude by the front office and a desire to win. KG era was okay, but lost opportunities (Joe Smith fiasco, Starbury, Terrell's ankles, and bad draft picks) cost the team. Love era was a lost cause of wasted lottery picks (Wesley Johnson, Johnny Flynn, etc...), bad signings (Darko... although it wasn't a disaster, Buddinger injuries, Kevin Martin for too much money), and injuries.

Sprewell would have resigned, just wanted enough scratch to feed his family. Joe Smith (a big deal at the time) signed there in a move that cost the team multiple first round picks and probably sabotaged the KG era more than any other move.

Who wants to go to Memphis? Detroit? Cleveland? Sacramento? Utah? Atlanta's been turned down by multiple stars with ties to the area, and despite having decent rosters. Charlotte? Indiana?

If you're going to get rid of Minnesota, the league would be Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, Nets, Bulls, Heat, Rockets, Mavericks, Celtics and Sixers.
