What did stoops say that they were giving a hard time for? I missed it and just heard the end

I heard him say that people are already calling for Spurrier's head afte he suffered a HORRIBLE loss on Saturday. Though he said Towles would be on later.

I think he meant Bob Stoops. PF called him "irrelevant" on SEC Nation on Saturday morning, and then OU lucked out and won due to UT choking...and Stoops said something in his press conference today talking back at Paul. I'm not sure what Bobby said...and I am assuming you meant they were giving Paul a hard time and not Stoops.

I'm not sure if our Stoops said anything they'd be giving him a hard time for.

They had a segment on mark stoops right before talking about Bob stoops. I heard the talk about Bob but not about our stoops. They were talking about something stoops said

have listened to the whole show...been 1 caller i believe that has mentioned the CATS.

I feel like the show is scripted most days. They let certain fanbases call in a lot in bunches. I've watched on days where a lot of UK fans were allowed to call in, but most days you have your typical Alabama, Auburn, UT, FL, etc, fans that call in.

You also have to love how it is sooooo hard to call into this show (which is true), but the same morons "somehow" always get through almost every day if they want to do so.

The morons that always get through are the (well) paid callers. I think they are scripted, at least to a degree. They're also what make the show the phenomenon it is.

That's an interesting point. I've met both Tammy (Auburn fan) and Jim from Tuscaloosa and they were the complete opposite of what I expected them to be like.

Finebaum always referred to Bob Stoops as ' Big Game Bob ' in a most sarcastic way. He said that after OU beat Bama in the Sugar Bowl, and now came back to beat Paul's alma mater UT, that he was going to find some other coach to pick on now.

It's a good show when it has interviews with various sports journalists, and when it has interviews with players and coaches; and it's actually pretty decent when it has Paul talking with serious football fans about football. When it has the "regulars" and the "characters", it sucks. It is probably good for ratings, or it wouldn't keep happening, but as a football fan who wants to watch the show for some football insight, I change the channel the minute "Tammy" or "Phyllis" or "Jim" gets to rant and rave. I'm not interested in some reality TV crap that belongs on Idiocracy.

Finebaum made the comment that went something like, "we all figured SC wasn't going to be very good this year, and they lose to Kentucky. I guess we know now". Basically taking the credit away from Kentucky for winning the game and giving it to SC for losing the game.

I'm seriously considering never watching again...recent days it's included Marcus Spears eating and checking his phone, Paul and Marcus talking about food, lots of football talk that you can get on the street corner, and not much to elevate the college football discussion. I just don't get the attraction of this show...I feel like I've given it a fair chance to win me over and it failed miserably. If you're an Alabama or Auburn fan this is probably a show for you. The SEC Network overall is mostly a disappointment. Some of the analysts are no better than the man on the street, but with an air of entitlement/arrogance. If I could catch the games on another channel I would probably drop the SEC Network.

I did drop the SEC Network and just watch the games streaming on my computer. Finebaum and 5000 chick soccer or volleyball commercials and the extra cost for programming turned me off.

Do you really think they are paid? That is hilarious if true. It is definitely rigged so they always get through, which might lead some credence to what you are saying.

And to the Alabama fan...what does Jim from Tuscaloosa look like? Finebaum always says no one knows what he looks like lol. Is the crazy old man I'm envisioning?

The worst callers on that show have to be Tammy and Phyllis...and that idiot AU fan Charles from Reeltown, although I have not heard him in forever.
