Any word on Poythress injury???

In terms of # of players injured.. Kentucky is now more injured than, probably 8 or 9 top25 teams.. combined.

Will it ever stop? Can we go through one season without medium to severe injuries?

Alex Poythress has hyperextended his right knee (non-surgically repaired knee). He is questionable to return.

Hyperextensions are usually not too serious. Probably will miss a few games if that.

Hyperextensions, although not considered to be serious, are really immobilizing. I had one years ago and it took a good six weeks before I could run again. Depends on the severity of the injury.

At least its not the surgically repaired knee and is just a hyper extension.
We have had minor injuries but nothing too serious.
Chill.

Don't expect the 2nd half to be enjoyable. The second this team gets familiar with the lineup's, someone gets injured and we start all over again.

**** me man. This is gay as hell. Shit though. If I'm Alex I'm coming back and playing through it. He's starting to become the beast we all knew he could be. He's starting to be a man. But part of being a man is ignoring the pain or injury and continuing on. Play through that shit man

You can't possibly be as idiotic as your posts.

The minor injuries I what cost us a lost and it's costing this teams ability to gel. Pretty alarming that it's this early too.. Usually the injury comes at an innoprotune time during the tournament.. We still have 3 quarters of a season left.

No way one can play through this type of injury. I hurt mine sliding into home plate and almost couldn't drive home after the game. Next morning when I got out of bed it hurt so bad I almost passed out. Even with the best therapy he'll be out for several weeks.

Whats your point man. I mean yeah I'm a redneck from Southern Ky. Big freaking deal. But I mean hell. When I played in high school there was a couple times I played through injuries and played with a stomach virus one time. This particular injury he may not be able to play through today but my point is you gotta be tough and play through some injuries. Or at least go out there and attempt it. Gotta be tough man.

Agree. And he and Ullis were playing our best basketball.....gonna be a long year. I sure don't see many draft picks on this team....help is on the way for next year.

I've never had this injury but hell. Give him a week to heal then load him up with some Percocet and let him play through it.

Really strange how Ulis had a hyperextension a couple of weeks ago and now Poythress. You don't see these kind of injuries very often much less two in a short period of time.

My point is that I don't think you are real and serious. Sorry if you are.

No offense, but equating a hyper extension to a stomach virus is silly. Some things a player needs to fight through. This is probably not one of them. Needs eval and go from there. But I do agree that a player needs to try to fight through things that are fightable.

Skal looks like he's lost on both ends of the court.

Yeah dude whatever. Don't question my fan hood if that's a word lol. I'd rather injure my own damn leg than one of our key players injure theirs. I'm just one of those loud, redneck jock type fans you see at games drinking and acting stupid. But I'm proud as hell of it man

Looks like Poythress' injury isn't as bad as expected. Like I said, depends on the severity.

Must've been a very mild hyperextension. Mine hurt so bad that I took one step the next morning and threw up due to the pain. Glad it's not that bad.
