Here’s the box score for the game. Lorenzen was our QB. Good to see names like Pinner and Abney.

I remeber this game vividly and reference it allot to my younger son. One of the most satisfying wins in the series.
We went to the Pizza Pit to tailgate and maybe score some tickets.
I'll never forget how arrogant the Cards fans in the parking lot were that day. It was mind boggling.
We were tailgating with both UK and UofL fans and decided to walk around a little, just having a good time. People we didn't know were talking so much shit, like they had arrived or something. I kept looking at my friends like "what the hell", are we playing Miami or something. (Miami was good then young folks.)
We were nothing to write home about, but ole' John L. had them beliving based on that HUGE Liberty Bowl victory against #25 BYU in the previous year.

But damn, the acted like they were about to run the table on everyone that year.

Jeremy Caudill and DeWayne Robinson were handing out naps that day!
I always hated the Cards, but this day took it to a new level for me.
