Anthony Richardson meet Dave Ragone

Another cherry picked stat. He had a bad game, but if you choose enough parameters, everything sounds impressive.

All I'm saying is they added these criteria:
Had to be a home game
Had to have 35 attempts

Then it's easy to make it seem like it's been a long time since something similar happened.

Some of you all read way too much into comments. Just read what what was said. I acknowledged that he had a bad game and then mentioned that there were some restrictive criteria on the comparison.

It doesn't mean I'm any less thrilled with UK's win. I couldn't be happier. I'm the one fan who hasn't wavered on the football team in years. Several of you calling me out probably have. Even in the game threads I'm usually the one in the first half telling people to calm down and that we'll be OK.

Here’s the box score for the game. Lorenzen was our QB. Good to see names like Pinner and Abney.
I remeber this game vividly and reference it allot to my younger son. One of the most satisfying wins in the series.

We went to the Pizza Pit to tailgate and maybe score some tickets.

I'll never forget how arrogant the Cards fans in the parking lot were that day. It was mind boggling.

We were tailgating with both UK and UofL fans and decided to walk around a little, just having a good time. People we didn't know were talking so much shit, like they had arrived or something. I kept looking at my friends like "what the hell", are we playing Miami or something. (Miami was good then young folks.)

We were nothing to write home about, but ole' John L. had them beliving based on that HUGE Liberty Bowl victory against #25 BYU in the previous year.

Previous Years Results for Louisville: (CUSA Schedule)
1998 - 7-5 ( Lost Motor City Bowl 48-29 versus Marshall)
1999 - 7-5 (Lost Humanitarian Bowl 34-31 versus Boise State)
2000 - 9-3 (Lost Liberty Bowl 22-17 versus Colorado State)
2001 - 11-2 (Won Liberty Bowl 28-10 versus Brigham Young)

But damn, the acted like they were about to run the table on everyone that year.
(Went 7-6 (CUSA Schedule Again) and Lost GMAC Bowl 38-15 versus Marshall.

Jeremy Caudill and DeWayne Robinson were handing out naps that day!

I always hated the Cards, but this day took it to a new level for me.

I actually began to feel sorry for him. They should have strapped a mattress to his back to make his landings softer.
Yup, the announcers were pleading for UL's o line to help him. DeWayne Robertson and Jeremy Caudill (my favorite DT duo of all time) had a big hit on him nearly every time he dropped back.

A lot of quarterbacks are going to have "bad games" against this Kentucky defense which IMO may well be the best of the Stoops era. Rather than dissing this kid who is very talented but still young and quite inexperienced, give credit where it due.
