I am hearing from a source close to Alabama that they expect Derrick Ansley to become the Tide's new DB's coach this week. Not sure of a date and this week. I can also tell you that based on what I've always heard, and have heard more recently, it's likely Ansley would take the position. I cannot say that it's "done" or even tell you to what extent it has been worked out. But that is the expectation from those I've spoken with and my impression has been for a while that Alabama would surely be tough to turn down.
If it happens it's good it happened after Signing Day. In fact, right at the start of a new recruiting cycle would be best. Also.... with the huge amount of young defensive back talent on the roster (not to mention the fact that Stoops' history with DB's is something he can always sell and use in his own involvement), Ansley would be leaving Kentucky quite a gift if he does go.
You might remember that earlier I mentioned both Georgia and Alabama as possibilities. Nick Saban and Kirby Smart both like him a lot.
