This was a businesslike win for UK. I thought our better than usual defense saved our sleepwalking offense.

What game were the announcers watching? Troy this Troy that. They just keep coming at you, blah blah blah.

The Cats played with their food tonight. They should have been addressing that instead of trying to will a comeback out of Troy.

Troy only lost by 6 threes and a 2. Get with it man.

I was too busy dreaming about Tom Leach to care what they said. 😍

The story of this game was Pope winning his first tournament game at UK. Nobody gives a crap about Troy. I understand the whole underdog thing, but come on.
Outside of Kentucky fans and Mark Pope's family, nobody gives a crap about his first NCAA Tournament victory. Good for him getting it but if you are expecting a 60 Minutes cover story about it, you are badly mistaken.

I like Kevin Harlan doing our games. Enjoy listening to him call NFL games. Definitely one of the bests out there today.

I thought announcers and refs were fantastic in this game. It was so nice to not see ticky tak fouls called. Let them play.

i remember when we beat umass in the ‘96 ff, nance would only talk about them, even when it was decided. cbs has a habit of being apologetic when the underdog loses.

I remember when Duke was playing Miss State in like 2003. Miss State was the underdog but might as well have been the Washington Generals. All Packer talked about was Duke.

I thought it was hilarious when Amari made the dunk and one of them said, “Thank you!”😀
After Amari missed his 3rd layup, Tom Leach said "Just dunk it!"
Goose replied "I'm tired of saying that"

Meanwhile, I was screaming the entire game, "Raise your freaking hands, Amari"

And now we find out his back is hurt.

It seems like almost every game the announcers are hootin' and hollerin' on about the team facing us. They have a sideline interviewer that also hypes up the coach's motivational speeches. They regularly showed their motivational crap in their locker room about taking the stairs and other things. Even when Troy was down by 20 and hit a 3, the announcers acted like they were on a roar and coming back (spoiler - they didn't get closer than 13 and then we opened it back up again).

Sort of. There were a couple of bad calls and also ticky tack called on us after several no calls on what could have been fouls.

That out of bounds that supposedly was off of Williams was horrible. And the foul on Garrison then a flagrant on the other guy was pretty bad because replays didn't show Garrison do anything in that play (he somewhat bumped the guy 4 seconds earlier).

There were a handful of others that came at times that were key for Troy, but once we ran it out to a 20-pt lead and were hitting shots I think the refs just backed off and let it go.

Sunday should be interesting. IL is very fast paced and loves to get into defenders. Although last night they and Xavier decided to pretty much play almost no defense, which is what I hope we see Sunday. I don't really want a shootout as we've seen how those go this year (Bama, FL, etc.). If we're not hitting and they are, it could be a long night.
