Unimpressive list of schools offering, we just desperate for a depth piece?
It's not a bad late addition to the 2024 class. Was committed to SMU. Wolford recruited him and he seems to like him so I will wait to pass judgment.
Really wanted this guy. Huge, runs well, nasty streak. 3 years is even better. Excellent addition.
Wolford really wanted him. He is 6-8 310 and his strength is pass blocking. NFL size, good feet to start out with is a good sign.
Review the roster, just from a numbers POV they need additions. Doubt they're finished. That this player has 3 years eligibility is huge.
In most cases at this point in hs (and portal) recruiting, teams are taking flyers on prospects with high ceilings. The exceptions being rare usually just because a string of events had to occur for those quality to still be available at this point.
I agree, but Wolford was really on him. He must have seen something to get him to flip from SMU.
23 offers, with 4 being P5 . . . not too bad.
And if you compare his two year old size and (lack of) ranking, it looks like Anfernee has worked hard to put himself into the conversation, and might still be growing!

Hard to know the true sizes of players anymore. What I read he was 6-8. Now he is 6-6 unless he has grown two inches recently.
That’s been true for decades.
Al Baker was consistently listed at 6 feet tall his senior year in HS.
I used to call this “Kentucky Shrinkage,” but it’s universal.
