An idea why the UofL coaches were not indicted

Thought it was said they didn't actually touch the money, just agreed to partake in the scheme.

I believe none of the UL coaches personally received money, just set up working to funnel money to players. The coaches arrested personally accepted money to help steer kids certain ways.

They weren't the target of the investigation and neither was Louisville. That's why names were redacted.
Louisville and the coaches were guppies caught in a net thrown for sharks.
There issue right now is more NCAA than FBI.

Sounds like what they did wasn't a crime but rather against NCAA rules.
at least not yet...the investigation is still going on.
The feds released all of this info to the public, made a few arrest and have not so vaguely made it known UL was involved...
I have worked for the feds and have many friends in the FBI and Secret Service...they are trying to get more information by making all other coaches and programs worried; and hope they "sing", to avoid prosecution.
It's what they do...and, they can lie through their teeth to try and get information.
hmmm, kinda of like Rick...

A day after the sting was publicized it's hard to make any assumptions. This is going to unfold slowly and for all we know the worst is yet to come as hard disks are studied and people squeal.

Could be they are working with the FBI to save their own skins .

It's because they did not break any federal law. The coaches at UL didn't take money like the ones that were arrested. The coaches at UL just funneled the money to the player, thus not breaking any federal laws. It's illegal to take money and they never did, they just funneled the money from Adidas to the player and family.

I'm not a lawyer and haven't read all the details, but could it be because the coaches didn't directly receive the money it went to the player?
