Second that. If you just listen to him speak. He reminds of the counselor from South Park. I do not miss him at all with Suns. This is not good for AD.

12 years as a head coach with a 335-370 record.. Quite possibly the worst hire of the year in the NBA.. You mean this is who they came up with? Nothing,, and I mean NOTHING about him even remotely screams success.

Why do these teams just keep recycling the same old tired coaches who have underachieved elsewhere. Some of these teams should take a chance on someone new especially if they have a past record of failing.

Alvin Gentrys teams have always been good on offense and maybe he learned from his previous coaching mistakes. After that happened with Golden State this year, he deserves this chance

You can pump him up all you want.. If he can't get it done in 12 seasons as a head coach,, he's not going to get it done in 13, 14 or 15 seasons.. This was a lateral move at best..

So may I gather the Pelicans have made a long term commitment to AD? If so, I'm not sure the coach matter's all that much. This is after all the NBA. The question remains will NO put the pieces around AD to be able to bring home a title. There's no doubt in my mind they have the key piece. Cal has taken UK to 4 F4's in 5 years, but only won once. Why? AD.
