IMO it’s the early-mid 90s Converse ones. Can we please get back to these? So clean, so “old-money” if you will.

Either the classic look from the 70s and 80s or the classic modern look of the early 2000s.
The current ones are awful. The BCG era parachute pants unis were awful. And going back in the day the 93-94 and 94-95 unis were hideous. The denim was too, but that team was so damn good I won’t criticize a single aspect of it.

The ones from the Murray/Ullis year. Nice and clean. Simple. More importantly, NO CHECKERBOARD! I agree, they are CURSED.

Bring back the denim look. 
Several players from the '95 team said UNC started making fun of their shorts during warm up and it demoralized the team.
Personally, I loved the Denim blues from '96. However, the best of the Converse era jerseys was 1997. 1998 was the first year with Nike, and despite the inclusion of grey in the side stripes, they are still pretty classic in their appearance.
Mitch will probably get Nike to make denim checkers.

Ugliest goes to the gray unis with blue checkered side pannels and metallic lettering we wore a few years back. We looked like AAU version of Memphis. Absolutely disgusting.

loved those uniforms! i don't know why they went away from those. only had them for 1 year!
UNC got in our heads big time, and that was part of it. Rod Rhodes deciding that he could prove to NBA scouts that he was better than Stackhouse was another big factor. Rasheed Wallace was the one who went in on the icicles, and had the rest of his team guffawing at our players. He then punked Riddick and got away with it.
I don't remember the year other than it was during Mercer's time here (97 maybe) but my favorite uniforms are from that time and they had the numbers on the shorts and a interlocking uk with a basketball in front of it stitched on the side of the shorts. White shorts had blue stripe down the side and blue shorts had white stripe down the side.
The throwback from the ‘78 uniforms are classic. They are basically better than the original because they don’t have the short shorts.
I agree either classic 70's or modern early 2000's. I will say that I did like the 'font' for the letters and numbers on the denim unis....... I wouldn't mind seeing that on uniforms made out of some normal uniform fabric.
