All the Brown talk, any update on Maker?

I don't think Cal wants to go after him for the reason I have stated many times. I don't think he will play any college BB. He will be over seas. My fear is Brown will play in Europe as well but I trust Cal since he is still recruiting him hard. This class has been a mess IMO. Not a mess for us but, in general, an odd class.

Call me crazy, but is it out of the realm of possibility that Maker comes in mid-season and stays one more full year? He's nowhere near refined, even given his size and potential. If there's even the slightest chance of this, you can't pass him up even if it means a "lost" first year...

Brown playing overseas? Why would you fear that? There's about a .0000001 chance that happens

Yeah I don't think Brown is thinking overseas at all. No one has questioned his academics at all.

Maker and his guardian both have stated that they are not considering him playing overseas.

I know they have and I may be wrong but every player says they are coming back until they don't. Every coach says they aren't taking the other job until they do. I just think there is a good chance he plays overseas and not NCAA

Saban wasn't taking the Alabama job...........till he took it............I see your point there

Normally if a kid is even considering overseas you would hear something about it being a possibility throughout his recruitment. No way this late in the game he would just one day decide that is what he wants to do. Eligibility would be only reason for something this dumb to take place and I just don't see that in this case.

The odds favor him being in the college scene especially since Mudiay has been the only elite guy to leave recently and he was scared that he wouldn't qualify but actually did after declaring for overseas. Plus its still up in the air whether it helped him or not, the draft will tell us a lot about whether that decision is wise or not.

I just want to say I hate when kids go overseas. I would love for there to be a 2 year rule in college BB. I hope I don't offend anyone when I am talking about Maker and others playing overseas, its just been thrown around on sites and interviews the last 6 months. If he is going to play in college I would love to get him. If not, I hope we don't get a commitment and then lose him at the 12th hour
