I looked at their rosters and both teams are upperclassmen loaded. Albany returns their top four scorers while NJIT returns their top six. Both teams won over 20 games last season so their players aren't bad at all. This makes me a little nervous because our team is young and its the first two games. UK could very well be tested in both of these games. UK should win both but I think they may be closer then expected.

Every game is going to be like a championship game for these under the radar teams......... they all will test us.

Sometimes I wish we were in the middle of the pack but then again it feels really good to be on top.

I like how Cal lines these sorts of games up. A lot of his cupcakes are far from cupcakes. Generally seems like he gets a good mix of systems and teams that are good tests and can hang around for three quarters. The kind of teams Billy G lost to occasionally.

NJIT is an independent, so they ended up playing a whole bunch of garbage teams and non-D1s to fill out their schedule.

lmao at some of you...[roll]:D

These teams fight just to get mentioned along with us for one night. I like how Cal finds teams that might give us trouble.

I'm going to the NJIT game. This ain't Michigan...UK will roll big with me in attendance.

I will be attending the Albany game. I expect UK to win but interested to see how the game flows. Albany has been to the NCAA tourney three years in a row and return four starters so it should be interesting for a while at least.

Albany was fun to watch a few times in person, but like my Jasper's, they kind of played over their heads and beat teams better than them to advanced. Peter Hooley was maybe the biggest NCAAT story, right after the father/son duo at G.State. Check out the video, it's pretty freaking awesome.

His mom died of Cancer about 2 months prior to this. he went back home for almost a month to take care of her, comes back after missing all that time, hit's a tournament bid sealing 3-poiinter to win the game over Stonybrook.

Albany was having it's St. Patricks Day Parade that day.. it was electric that night.

Still, don't see them as any threat. Experienced, yeah, but the talent level just isn't there. And by their merit alone, they shouldn't have made it to the NCAAT last year.

Yeah it may be close but UK pulls away eventually. Mid majors tend to start juniors and seniors since they stay all four years because elite recruits don't go to mid majors. That is how they pull upsets is with their team chemistry and experience however coach Cal always negates the upset bid. Also the 30 second shot click will speed up the game and possession count making it harder for upsets to happen.
