I think UK has as much skill talent as either, but watch the difference in schemes as far as qb drops and where the majority of the pass plays go...

Kys defense by principle is better equipped to deal with UT than Bama and that feels extremely odd to say.
now not predicting a TN shutdown by any means but KY defense naturally tries to limit those explosive plays, we aren’t going to be playing very much press man like Bama does , and will do decent at keeping things in front. If not that Hyatt kid will run right by you of everything isn’t perfect in man. And they might have their #1 WR back The one time in history that I’m pretty happy to be a zone defensive team.
Uphill battle for sure next time out that’s why the last 2 losses sting so bad that was our buffer in case we go 0-2 here.

You mean like when we held them to 45 last season?

Guess we will see.

Like we held MSST to 36/39 passing last year and got blew out… oh wait
I said we aren’t shutting UT down just that our play tendencies are a better matchup that Bama was as difficult as that is to grasp. Not saying we are going to go kick TNs teeth in and hold them scoreless by any means but I can see a 27-14 35-24 type game just saying that by rule probably will bring a better defensive showing than Bama and LSU just in the way we approach defense. Unless we have a breakdown they aren’t going to torch us deep like they did Bama everything we do as a defense is to keep that from happening.

As I remember last year, it was a strange game. We won the time of possession 46-14 min, had more offensive yardage, but got roadrunnered long play, after long play. We’d go on a seven minute drive, one minute later they scored. I just don’t see us holding them defensively. We will have to put up a lot of points to win.

I agree here. Uk is a better defense by all accounts this year vs last year. Especially in secondary

Keidrom Smith in particular has been a under the radar but big upgrade over Dort…and Valentine is much improved

Who has the ball with two minutes to go will win the game.
Tennessee fans are absolutely hoping it's a blowout.

That ain't happening baby. We'll see you in that 4rth quarter... chomping on your orange fingernails.

Hopefully stripes won't be from the Greater Knoxville Football Officials Association like Alabama had to endure.

Obvious difference is the MSU game this year was at home and this game will be on the road. And maybe we do hold them under 40. And if your predictions hold true, we still lose by 10+ and that's worse than last year's 3 point loss.
