Every year there are numerous freshmen that enter college basketball, but in reality there are very few that make an immediate impact, especially when playing top competition. A prime example is the play of Wagner and Edward's against Kansas. When 18 & 19 year Olds go up against 23 & 24 year old experienced players, that are full grown men, it takes a while to adjust to the physicality, speed and experience. By the end of January they will be totally different players, hopefully or we're in big trouble. Seems the other freshmen weren't affected when they came in the game but were less so in the second half, especially late.
