ACC vs SEC

ACC has the makings of a good weekend before we take the field hosting UofL in the Governor's Cup.

• FSU beat UF last night.
• Clemson up on SCjr by 8 at the half
• GT down only 10-7 to UGA in Athens at the half picking more 1st downs and yards than the Dawgs.

We gotta hold up our end against the Cards and stop the trend.

Then there's the battle of the officiating crews to see which one is the worst. Visiting teams bring their own stripes, UK-U6 game will be an ACC crew. SEC stripes at FSU-UF was their typical horrible self, late missed face mask on FSU may have cost UF a chance to tie/win. Today's SCAR-Clemson SEC crew is brutal but I must say Fri's UNC-NC St ACC crew was probably the worst crew anywhere to take the field in '22.

The ACC is poop, but get this - I have had to argue with some actual UK fans on this board over the last couple weeks that UofL played a tougher schedule than UK this year (lmao). You cant argue with stupid so I eventually gave up, but going by BCS standings the SEC East played 3 of the top 5 schools in the ACC this weekend.

Clemson - undefeated in the ACC, but a middle of the pack SEC school went into 'Death Valley' and beat them.

Florida St - the hottest team in the league, beat their last 3 ACC opponents by a combined score of 124-22, yet a bottom third SEC team who just lost to Vandy goes into their stadium an only loses by a TD.

Louisville - going by BCS standings the 5th best team in the ACC, yet we beat them in a game that was never in doubt easier than we beat any SEC team all season.

Complete joke of a league that does not belong in the Power 5, if we played UofLs schedule we are at worst 10-2 this season.

My oddsmaker buddies have a list of every single power 5 matchup. You’d be favored against five of the SEC on a neutral field. 6-6 Arkansas would be a 4.5 point favorite on a neutral field, lol.

We couldve been 10-2 with our schedule if everything went properly, but outside a major upset we could not do any better. 10-2 would be the expectation with UofLs schedule, and only the game @Clemson would have been considered an upset, but they are far from elite and that would be doable.

I'm not saying we're back but I know with fsu's offense and some of the talent on defense we can play with everyone in sec minus Georgia and Bama. We dominated LSU for 55mins of that game and put up 45 on florida. I'm not sure why Vandy is used as joke bc they aren't terrible.

Florida State is good. They have really good size and speed and Jordan when he is on his game is a threat. you all got LSU in Kellys first game. I would have liked to see it later in the year and I think LSU wins narrowly. Florida is 6-6 so they are not that good and it was a very tight game. Obviously FSU back in the day could play in any league anytime, anywhere and done well. Thus FSU team I think is middle of the pack SEC with USC,UK,MISSOURI, etc..
