Aaron Harrison inks 2 year deal with Hornets

I think that's great. Aaron has a chance to be a very serviceable player in the NBA for a good while. What he did in Ky's final 4 run in 2014 showed he has the ability to be an asset at the next level.

Good for him. First year partially guaranteed, second year team option. Glad they thought enough of him to lock him up.

Great news! Now without so much pressure maybe he can shoot a little better. Let the game come to him.

Not an NBA expert. How likely does this mean he sticks with the opening game roster.

Really up in the air still. Means they thought enough of him to pay him an amount of money to lock up his rights for 2 years. He thought enough of his chances with Charlotte to accept.

It's a positive, but he still has work to do, certainly.

By my count, the Cats have an outside, long shot to put as many as 27 guys on rosters on opening night. I wonder if any college team has ever had that many players in the league at the same time. I tried to research that with no luck.
Uh, I can tell you without researching that the answer is a definitive "NO." Not even close in fact.

I was concerned his poor shooting would ruin his chances, but apparently he showed enough in other areas to overcome that. I'm very happy and proud of Aaron Harrison. He deserves this. Maybe Jordan can give him some tips on shooting really well from mid-range and in (incase the 3 ball never really develops). I hope he has a long career, and so glad he has proven the haters at present.

Great, hope he can impress them and maybe get a better contract down the road, congrats Aaron

Do you think Cal has already ordered Aaron's NBA poster for the Craft Center?

Liggins is still around. Started for the Kings the other night.

He's been wildly impressive, in my opinion. Personally, he needs to drop the 3 point shot almost altogether, barring him being wide open, and somebody not having a better shot. He'll likely play point guard, and be a very physical one. He got off to a really good start learning that position, and this happened in the process.

But he should have come back for a chance to be drafted 49th, have been forced to play for a specific team, and lose a year of earning power.

You forgot Patrick Patterson

Good deal! Nice young guy. Always will be remembered as the guy willing to take the big shot.... And make them. Never in trouble. Polite. I think his game will continue to develop. If he can spot in at the point and play the other wing spots he will be a valuable player. They won't have any character issues. Good citizen. Proud of him

Keith Bogans is also playing for the Portland summer team right now.

I am very happy for Aaron he helped propel us to two final fours, we are going to have great replacements next year but I will miss those Harrison brothers crashing to the rim and overpowering smaller guards thankful they came our way.

Or what the average American will make roughly every 12 years. Aaron will have roughly 25 years worth of earnings before he's 23. Not bad.

Not so fast, my friend. By the time you take out the agent's cut, and the devil's cut (taxes) at the max % rate too, he'll have less than half of that. Then factor in expenses, and maybe a little splurging, and he might have a small "nest egg" left.

So he's gotta stay hungry, work toward the really big payoff of guaranteed money and FA later on. I'm pulling for him, and all the other Cats who are living/chasing the dream!
