My wife has mentioned she could use a Ipad with her job. She is a the Public Relations/Media Officer for her school system and does a lot of photos, videos, etc of school events that after editing get uploaded to the schools website and media site. She will probably use it at home to watch movies, read books and such as well. I know the pro is the best option but really don't want to break the bank when she may or may not use it after she gets it. Would the air be sufficient for that and how much storage would be sufficient without paying a grand for 1TB of storage when she will not be keeping the pics, videos, etc after they are uploaded to the social media or website?

I can't see any justification for buying the pricey Ipads/ Samsung tablets.. unless someone REALLY needs some of the advanced tech specs or just wants the shiny new thing.

Storage should be fine IMO, especially if it really is just uploading photos and videos and then deleting. Any movies, shows, music, and even books will likely be streamed (maybe not books), so the newest season of Real Housewives won't take up any space.

I think you're fine with an iPad Air, and further, you could probably get away with the lowest storage model.. UNLESS there's some real need to store a TON of content at her job, but I really doubt it.

iPad Air should be fine & probably won't even notice the difference. Im a big iPad user, particularly before bed, but I feel like all of them have about a 2-3 year shelf life til they start lagging. So, there is that.

Regular Gen 10 iPad is cheaper than the Air, I believe. That's what I plan to get my parents. Base model is like $349 or something.

I just recently got the MacBook Air and it’s been great, I’m assuming the iPad is similar but without a keyboard?
