1. 1st and goal inside the 1 and get no points
2. fumble the ball inside the 5 - 1 play later a td for Vandy
3. get the ball at the 6 and throw an INT
4. throw a pick 6
5. 4th and 1 at the 50 under 2 mins, go for it and don't get it
6. give up a td right before half on a trick play
7. have to call a time out on a punt
8. take a penalty on delay of game b/c of confusion on fg - missed the fg
9. give up a blocked punt
I'm sure there is more, but the horrible play calling and in game decision making shadows that of pee wee football coaching parents, not millionaire SEC head coaches. Sorry, but it doesn't.
I know no one will agree with this, but after we scored the td to put us down 4 i was screaming go for 2; b/c being down 4 or 5 is no different at that point, still need 7 to win. So if you go for 2 and get it then you're just down 3 and who knows maybe Stoops calls the timeout there for the game tying field goal, maybe he doesn't but it's all mute now.
So in all, we had the ball in the redzone 3 different times (2x's inside the 5) and once inside the 20 and come away with 0 (ZERO) points. If you get fg's on all 3 of those you win easily.
Anyways, i'm tired of going into work every Monday and getting ragged by all my co-workers over sucky UK football. I've almost gotten into a few fights over defending Stoops, but im done after today total lack of any competence to show that he can actually run a football team.
I hope his famous quote on KSR last monday doesn't come back to bite him in the ass like Joker's "call me when we're 2-10" infamous quote did. But after getting upset after being questioned about organization, i would of expected the opposite of what he showed today. I think there are a lot of people that could handle in game management better than what he demonstrated today.
