A few weeks ago I'd call you nuts thinking we had a shot vs Kansas

Kansas isn't losing at home to a team that SMOKED them last year. That place will literally be rocking. UK loses, but I don't see a team that can beat them on a neutral court.

Still think we lose a close one. KU will come out lights out then we manage to make a game of it late.

We will go in there confident.
KU losers of 3 of 5 will be second guessing themselves.
Not a good combination for Rock Choke.

We are still so impatient, it's still January and Ulis is solid, Willis is becoming very consistent, Briscoe's mid jumpers are falling and he was 5-6 from the charity line, Alex is showing signs of being productive plus he's playing good defense, Skal, being used differently and shooting well, still needs improved rebounds and defense, Murray has a tough shooting night but still almost had a double double. Get Marcus and Matthews going and this will get even better.

The key for us as has been all year is to get off to a great start, and play defense out of the gate!

We have a great chance to stick an L on Self and his short rotation. And that rotation is with only 4 offensive threats.

I like our chances simply because we've seen how good we can play.

Cal has admitted his mistakes w/Skal, and he will help us down the stretch.

Look at it like this: This is an extra credit question on the test. There's never any penalty whatsoever for taking an L at AFH against top 10 Kansas - but now, it's actually possible that we could win.
good analogy - I like it
We are going to have a very confident, motivated team going into AFH on Saturday. I think we'll get set back a bit, but fight our way into it. IF we can get out of there with, at worse, a less than 5pt loss I'll call it acceptable. But, honestly - I think we have a real shot at winning Saturday. Just hope our guys, when they are watching film, pay attention to Big12 officiating too and are ready for it

Yes, a month ago, I would have thought no chance but these guys are playing very good over the last few games.

Take a look at KU's winning percentage at the fog house and then decide whether it's realistic to expect to go in there and take a win.

That being said, I like the way our boys are playing lately.

I love the progress we've made recently. But sorry, I think winning at Kansas right now is a remote possibility. I think we'll lose by 10. Hope I'm wrong.

Regardless, I think we are beginning to look like a team that can make some noise in March...just as Cal always does...

I'm in the same boat as the op, 10 days ago I was praying we kept it under 40, but now there's actually a chance we could win. But still not much of one, I expect Poythress and Skal get in foul trouble early and Kansas just annihilates down low the whole game.

I want to see UK continue to play well win or lose. I especially want to continue to see point production, good rebounding, and good defense from our front court against a top 10 team. It would be nice to see us beat them as a bonus as well.

I predicted us to win in the prediction contest (just because I always do) but this will be a tough game for our guys to win. Hell, last year's team would've had a hard time winning at AFH. If we lose, we lose, no big deal, just as long as we compete and battle for 40 minutes I'm fine with the result.

Sorry, but Lucas and Traylor shouldn't annihilate anyone, regardless of foul trouble. Ellis will probably get his, but the rest of their post players (the two that actually get minutes) aren't all that great, especially on offense.

When Lucas and Traylor are in the game, KU is basically playing 4 on 5 on the offensive side of the ball. Those two and annihilates should never be used in the same sentence together unless they're the ones being annihilated.
