Cal at UK: 28 drafted, and 30 total made it to the NBA, not counting Wiltjer, who is on the Rockets.
Great news for Alex! Hope he gets some minutes and plays his way into a contract with 76ers or another team. Just have to impress a few NBA execs to get a camp invite like Deandre Liggins did with Cleveland.
Former UK players are keeping that mural artist busy every off season (this one is three years old and doesn't count Ulis, Towns, Skal, etc.). There will be a new one coming soon with Monk and company!
I hope Poy does amazing things and sticks in the league. He's had some bad luck at UK. I'm happy for him to get this chance to show what he can do.
BTW it looks highly likely that the Sixers are focusing on Malik Monk in the draft. They need a decent SG badly.
Poythress has a good chance of sticking here. The Sixers are thin at power forward and have pretty much worn out Dario Saric down the stretch. They get Ben Simmons back next season but the only other forward under contest is Robert Covington who is a small forward.

Really happy for Alex. He doesn't have many games left in this season to prove much but I hope he is able to take advantage of any chance he is given to justify an invite back next year.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer kid. Watched him killing in the D-league and got a chance to meet him when my nephew was sent down. Very good dude

Good for Alex. I'm guessing it's something like a 10 day contract which I believe pays around $60K. Pretty nice sum for 10 days work and the chance to maybe show what you are capable of.
Was surprised Pacers didn't pick him up. Dakari Johnson is another who deserves a shot at the league.
