7 Overtime Classic: Arkansas vs Kentucky 2003 video

I was at that game and what a roller coaster ride that thing was....... SO many close calls that could have helped us win that game.

I videotaped the game on my VCR (old school), and managed to not find out the score. The taped ended halfway thru the 6th overtime. I had to turn on the news to grind out who won.

I was there as well and I remember BOTH teams having multiple chances to win it. I was exhausted after the game; I cannot even imagine how the players felt. Game actually ended "the next day". I have not seen (or heard) of anything like that since nor do I expect to. Even crazier was the fact that AR had played a 7 OT game a few years before that one.

I can't remember the play, but seems like we were up by a touchdown in OT. Arkansas had the ball, 4th and goal from around the 10. We got a good rush on Jones and he avoided that, rolled out to his right I believe, then passed the ball to the back corner of the end zone. One of our DB's reached out to deflect it and came within inches. He missed it, WR catches the ball in the back corner for a touchdown.

Again, going by memory, but DANG..... that would have ended the game.

I had to be at church early the next morning because I played drums in the praise band. I didn't get a lot of sleep that night by the time I got home. haha

Yup. I vaguely recall that. I also seem to recall Arky running a simple toss right play and the RB could have walked in for the winning score...but he dropped the pitch and Arky had to settle for a tying FG. Probably the craziest game I have ever witnessed in person.

Peace
