50 Shades of Grey

Such a awful written movie but with great music. Has anyone seen it ...
Everybody that read the book told me it was terrible. Every critic that has seen the movie says it is on their all time worst list.

So on balance, I think I will pass.

I don't know about the movie, but after my wife read the book her horny level rose significantly over the next month. Her dirtiness level rose as well. That was a good summer. So, I have nothing but positive things to say about the book.

That's the best outcome of all.

You, sir, have most excellent taste in MILFs.
Lisa Ann is a great American

Imagine a movie with lots of intense backstory, character depth, explicit sex and romance. Now imagine a 2 hour introduction to that movie that takes all of the air out of the plot and somehow even makes the sex feel stale. That's 50 Shades of Grey.

It's not even actually a movie. It's a long set up to another movie, which will actually be another long set up to another movie.

50 Shades of Grey is the great female fairy tale. For the average woman to nab the uber powerful and handsome rich guy who loves to dominate her. Sexually and emotionally. Women don't want to admit they are shallow and love to be dominated but the popularity of this novel pretty much says they do.

I still find it hilariously ironic that the same women who are first in line to watch this and Magic Mike are the same ones who'll bitch at their man for checking out a woman at the mall.

I agree with the irony part... less so the hilarity angle.

I didn't read the book. I won't pay to see the movie. Heard less-than-stellar reviews about both.

Let me know when the sequel comes out... where the guy is driving around in the mini-van wondering why his frumpy postnuptial choice isn't all that excited about doing the kinky anymore.

Same thing happened to my girlfriend a couple years ago when she read the books. Not long after someone asked me if I had read them. I told them that I had not even seen the covers, but I still considered them to be the greatest literary work of our generation. I would love to get the author's autograph and to shake their hand.

That was indeed a very, very good summer!

people I trust say they are awful books, and this movie is even worst. but I'm happy it is doing well, now Hollywood should be motivated to put out more hard-R rated movies featuring big stars. Like they used to do, Basic Instinct, 9 1/2 weeks, etc.
