Completely different ND team. The Elite 8 game last year has NOTHING to do with this year. I wonder why you brought it up...hmm.
Completely different? Auguste who is playing in this game put up 20 against UK.
This is not a good ND team. If you want to keep arguing that fine...but intelligent posters on here know otherwise. They are not an Elite 8 team.

Have I missed where Virginia has been making deep tournament runs the last few years? They've won 3 tournament games the last 2 years. They'd need to double that to win a title.
Good team, but you're putting the cart way, way, way before the horse.
ND isn't as good as last year, sure. They took a step back. But Virginia, another slow it down team that isn't really strong offensively, was on fire to start the game. Sure enough, they cool back down to normal, and the game stays relatively the same the rest of the way,
I'd like to see that match-up again. Not so sure Virginia wins this game 6 or 7 times out of 10.

Best players on ND last year were Grant and Connaughton. Auguste is very good, but put up 20 because we were focused on the players I just named. Helped too much on the drive and gave up offensive boards to Auguste. Like others have said, not the same ND as last year.
But, but, but..."very likely to go all the way".
I mostly like having fans of other teams come on this board, other than the outright trolls, but there are a few rules that I think they should follow:
1. Do not pretend to be a UK fan.
2. Do not pretend to be a UK fan.
3. Do not overstate the case for your team.
4. Do not act shocked and offended when UK fans don't have as rosy a view of your team as you do.
First of all, not a fake UK fan. I admire UK, Cal, what is coming of the program, and enjoy watching them play. I'm also raised a Virginia fan. Last night Virginia lost in the clash of the commonwealth in a close game against its rival on the road. Not a bad loss by any means.
College basketball doesn't have a standout team this year, so the top teams should expect to lose an occasional game. I'm excited to see what rest of the season has in store, and yes despite this loss, I still do see Virginia as a contender. The same goes for UK and other teams.

You seem to be attempting to validate UVA with our fanbase.
Many of us can appreciate the program and its defense. The slowdown offense is not that great and UVA has not shown any type of tourney presence.
Go to an ACC board, your team is very much 3rd tier by most of us here.
