Things get a bit heavier from here. UGA, Ala, Mizzu, So Carol, Tenn and a couple of others. I think we get 8 wins and a good bowl invite. Avg 30+ points per game. LIL bro is also 5-0 I hope we end that undefeated season for them.

GO CATS

Great start, the cats looked great yesterday. Still some things to clean up, but we have a damn good rb and a good defense. Need our receivers to catch the ball more often, but I think they will.

Protect home field and steal a couple on the road. 10 wins is a possibility.

I don't believe MO, USCe or MiSt should be more than hard fought wins for UK this year. Not counting my chickens, mind you, but USCe has a bad offensive line. Rattler can cause some problems as he's streaky but if we exploit that line like we should, we should win that game. Missouri really hasn't played much competition and we've beaten them pretty often lately. Not impressed with MSU at the moment, either.

We can play with both GA and AL although maybe not win. TN looked pretty bad vs FL. If we play well, we can beat them, too.

10 is probably the ceiling this year, but 9 wins and a nice bowl win would be awesome. Anything better than that is gravy for me.

I hope UL has some losses by then bc if not they are a new year 6 team. That would suck big time.

Lookong at remaining games on schedule we should win 5 more..20 and 2 loosing to Bama ( underrated right now)and UGA. Ten game will be a war but I like us on it

I think we get to 9 if we play like we did yesterday most of the year. Maybe 10 if we steal a game.

UL will lose on Saturday to ND.

Most of us expected UK to start 5 and 0 against the overall weak teams we started the season with. I'd say 8 and 4 or 9 and 3 on the final record, unless our passing offense consistently improves a lot.

Stoops has done so well he has made the above a bit ho hum. At some point n a future season, I hope to see UK n 12 team playoff but feel that will take a 10 and 2 regular season to occur. Don't see 9 and 3 doing it. It wouldn't have n 2018 or 2021 based on final playoff rankings.

7 games remaining and it's murderers row. Here's my predictions:

Oct. 7 @ #1 Georgia (L)
Oct. 14 #21 Missouri (W)
Oct. 21 OPEN
Oct. 28 #22 Tennessee (W)
Nov. 4 @ Mississippi State (W)
Nov. 11 #11 Alabama (L)
Nov. 18 @ South Carolina (W)
Nov. 25 @ #25 Louisville (W)

I just don't think we are ready to compete with UGA & Bama yet.

Coming off a bye week will be great with UT at home the week after (hopefully it's a 7 or 7:30 kick & a Blackout game)

No one is going to reward a mediocre ACC team that avoided Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina. Even if they finish 10-2 or 11-1.

UK's last 7 games.....how do y'all think these teams look as compared to your preseason expectations.

Georgia - worst than I thought. Probably still good enough to beat us.
Mizzou - better, but I expect UK to win
Knoxville - as I expected, Milton ain't Hooker, Squirrel ain't Hyatte. UK gets them!
Miss St - worst than I thought. But playing in StarkVegas is a horror show. 50/50game.
Bama -MUCH worst! Sadly they will probably have just enough more talent to beat us.
USCjr - terrible team. Get back to normal thumping them
Louisville - maybe better? Who knows. Their 2nd best win is Georgia Tech, who was blown out by Bowling Green. Wildcats keep the cup.

IMO Kentucky finishes 9-3.

If Kentucky fans can get up for Tennessee and Alabama the way they do for Florida then I think we could swing both. Bama has some time to come together, but they're mortal this year.

We may well lose to Georgia, but we should give them a good game, regardless.

Maybe I’m just drunk on optimism after yesterday’s win, but I’d love for this team to finds its way to 10 regular season wins. It would take good health, focus, and a lot of mental toughness.
10 regular season wins is not unrealistic. Stoops thinks he may win all of them and I like that. Our defense is 5th in the league behind A & M, UF, Georgia, and Bama. Our offense is 8th in the league. We need both numbers to keep rising.

Rafael Greene was at the Florida game. Watch him. He will be a Cat.

Georgia - Beatable, close game but Kirby toys with us til the 4th quarter. Cats lose by 7-10
Mizzou - Not the same away from Columbia - Cats win by 12-14
Tennessee - Cats get them after a much needed Bye week - UK may win this one by 14-17
Bama - No identity on offense right now...can they get it together before a trip to a cold Lexington in November
USC - Rattler is about the only positive thing they have for them right now, this game concerns me being in a hostile environment.
Louisville - They will give us all we want. This is their Superbowl getting us down there. Brohm was brought here to beat Kentucky. They will lose to ND and possibly Duke. Can The Cats, be their 3rd loss?

Excellent write up. If our QB and WRs can get on the same page we certainly can compete for a national title “this season”.

There, I said it and I mean it!

Louisville has caught multiple breaks to be 5-0. Pitiful Indiana had 1st n goal at the 3 and couldn’t get it in. NC state completely self destructed blowing a 13 pt lead. They are gonna get exposed sooner than later. I think they lose to ND and Duke. Possible another that they are favored and Plummer keeps floating the ball at the opponent’s secondary

With regard to Georgia, they are not the defensive juggernaut they have been. Their rushing defense is way down. If our defense continues to shine and our passing game comes to life, we can get them. If the do, the concern will be an inevitable letdown against Missouri, a team that hates UK with a passion.

Having seen UT play, their QB looks very pedestrian. Considering that, and our D no doubt having this game marked for payback, we will beat the Vols.

Right now. I believe CATS versus Tide is a pick 'em in Lexington. Alabama players of the past are just that. Nothing more than fans on the sideline.

I’m of the opposite thought and kind of hate that we get UT after a bye.

Would rather have east west school of the blind.

Or, even better.. stoops figures out how to get the team amped and playing their best ball after a bye week instead of the opposite we normally get

But- for now I’m saying 9-3 is the baseline. Anything better I’ll be very happy. Anything less and we underperformed IMO. We have to avoid the yearly loss that we shouldn’t lose.

I'd say 9 is more likely than 10 given that we typically play at least 1 stinker on the road every year.

Mississippi State is that loss...WE. NEED. TO. AVOID. Starkville is Kentucky's kryptonite for some reason...maybe it's those damn cowbells.

This is the truth.

Them and South Carolina we must come out and pummel. That is the key to taking the next step. Do that and we can go 10-2/11-1 with holding serve against our bi*ch UofL, Missouri and pulling off one upset of tenn Bama or UGA. - don’t care the records beating those orange bastaahds is always an upset for us.

But we must not give away a game. Period. I also wish we’d start scheduling our easiest game of the year after a bye. We seem to play terrible and a gimme would be nice to get us through it. Having Tennessee after our bye gives me less confidence.

We always play shitty after a bye week. I’m not even sure what it is we do during those weeks.

Great start to the season. Love the way we are running the ball and playing defense. If we can get the passing game in order, look out for the Cats. I think we finish with around 9 wins and a decent shot at 10.

Say, is everyone still worried about our offensive plays per game after this 5-0 beginning? That was such a big worry on here after Ball St & EKU & Akron!!! We were doomed because of only running 50 snaps or so on offense!

Funny how exactly zero posters have talked about that hot topic since the Florida smashing?

For the life of me I don’t understand the concern about that. I’m worried about how well the plays work, not how long we take in between them. In fact, when you’re playing good teams - especially on the road - giving your defense more rest and shortening the game a bit is a pretty sound strategy IMO.

This is a good point. UK fans LOVE to beat Florida and get up for them more than any other team, including UL or UT. I don't really understand it, as the last time we played UT at home the crowd was DEAD. Weather?

We only need two more to hit the over 6.5 -150. Need them to win two more really quick, don’t like having $1500 in limbo.

Never underestimate the marketing and hype-machine that is ESPN when it comes to the ACC.

I read a FB post that said "Kentucky and Louisville are both 5-0 in the same season for the first time ever." I have not verified it, but it certainly seems accurate. GO CATS !!!

It is interesting to note that #20 KY is playing #1 Georgia and #25 UL is hosting #10 ND this weekend. HUGE games for both programs !!
