Was that the play that the QB scrambled to pick it up? I noticed that too many times when we blitzed we did not contain the QB. Should have had a few more sacks, but the blitzer came in too high and too out of control to wrap up the QB. These are mistakes that can and should be fixed. The instinct is to get to the QB as rapidly as possible to prevent or disrupt or hurry the pass, but, unless it is a totally pocket QB, you have to watch your angles and speed so you don't simply run by the QB when he side steps. Then with the backs in pass coverage it leaves open lanes for the QB to run for decent yardage.
