49ers Aldon Smith is an idiot

He definitely has some problems and needs to get help. Addictions have ruined many lives, he isn't the first and won't be the last. As a 49ers fan, I am certainly concerned with the direction the Niners are headed. The bad thing about the NFL is when you have an owner that's an idiot, there's not much that can be done about it. Hopefully, he'll say something racist and be forced to sell the team...at least I'll keep wishfully thinking.
I feel bad for 49ers fans. If the players aren't retiring they are getting in trouble. The 49ers may be one of the worst teams in the NFL this coming year.
I fully expect this to be true. I'm preparing myself for the worst on Sundays, so I really need Saturdays to be better.
Not the first and won't be the last person who grew up with little and suddenly had more money available than he ever dreamed of and made a mistake, it isn't just athletes either.
Heard a rumor that Smiths girlfriend had broken up with him and she is now dating Kaepernick and that last night he bashed Kaepernick's Mercedes. Either I am betting under on SF season win totals, and I Smith is an idiot, this is his 3rd DUI and episode and was suspended for like 9 games last year. These guys never realize how lucky they are.
He's a talented player, but it looks like his NFL career has effectively ended. He might have a shot at a second chance (or 5th chance?) if he can get his act together and get off the drugs and alcohol, but he's had so many problems he'll never get paid as much as he could have considering his talent level.
Some one has got to help him, that is the only way he can clean up his act.
He's been in rehab a number of times, I'm not sure what kind of family support he gets...if any. But sometimes you have to do some of the heavy lifting yourself. I hope he gets clean, he is a good football player who could play for several more years if he wanted.
I'm not sure why I should care about an overpaid spoiled athlete that plays in the money game. He went to Mizzou, but before they joined the SEC, I was surprised to learn he didn't go to TU, FSU, Auburn, UL, etc.
Maybe jurich can sneak him back to UL so they can straighten him out.
Maybe a break for him, maybe he will realize what he is throwing away, if not at least he can stay drunk all the time now, or at least until he kills someone.
