And, no they're not the Wisconsin of last year. They were 9-9 before today's game, pretty terrible. And yet they won a home game against Michigan State. My point is, road conference losses happen to everyone. We are going to be ok!

A few weeks ago, many people were dubbing them one of the favorites to win it all. That was before Valentine went down, but they have lost two in a row since he's been back. Another favorite is UNCheat, but their defense is #66 on Kenpom. I know they are not now a favorite, but Duke's defense is #103. There really is no clear favorite this year, which makes our struggles so much more frustrating. If Skal had panned out, I think we would be in the discussion for a #1 seed.

That is the thing that is the biggest downer to me,we had a chance to be in position for a #1 seed and to spend the first half of the season in the top 5. We lost a couple of games we should not have lost by just not playing smart basketball and not showing up ready to play.

I an surprised that Cal didn't get the players to see the opportunity they had to make a name for themselves and this team,it is wide open if we would just play with effort

I agree that road losses happen. That said, Auburn is no Wisconsin.

Can we send some trolls to the Sparty board?

I feel like we have bedbugs on the site, there are so many of them.

I detest these type of posts. Another team losing somehow is supposed to make us accept a terrible UK loss? It isn't about winning and losing so much as how our team played.

No, but it's supposed to make you quit using tunnel vision and act as if what's happening at UK is somehow uniquely terrible.

The reality this season is that every single team has flaws. Even those teams that are supposedly the "elite" teams this season have flaws that will cause "bad" losses and would make UK fans lose their $#!+ on this board on a daily basis.

Sparty and Duke are in similar trouble as UK. The good news for the CBB media is, all 3 of these coaches rarely fold in March (I know K had a few in a row, but still). Instead, they are buying teams like Maryland, Oklahoma, etc...who have unproven coaches and history come March. I'll take it. Cal needs to focus on his squad and continue to change things.

Thats kinda the reality of every season.

It's all about perspective. Sure, we'd all like to win every game, every year. But the reality doesn't support that. This team hasn't panned out YET, and may fall short of our ( sometimes unrealistic) expectations. But I for one will remain a fan, ever hopeful for a turnaround.

My point with the op is that road losses do happen. Hot-shooting home team with a favorable whistle happens. Sure, if we're hitting on all cylinders we can overcome that.

And UK78, I noticed that your likes-to-post# ratio is embarrassingly low. If I were you, I'd try to improve my outlook and attitude to be the best version of yourself that you can be. Life would be better for you; doors that were closed would open. And you would be happier. Try it; you'll like it!
